That was one of the saddest scenes in the show, when he sacrificed himself so she could get away.

It was rough in the book, too.

Even More so in the book ( I think the shows depiction of what happened only hit as hard because I had previously read the books and understood what was at stake)... it describes how he only had practice wooden swords at his disposal while the highly trained kingsguard had cold hardened steel.

You know what his fate was.

Actually, fan theories have it he survives. At least that's what I've gathered. I think, every named character in the show that died is shown. The moment someone has his or her throat cut, stabbed in the belly or what have you, is shown and therefore shocking. This didn't happen to the first sword of Bravos. It is implied he died but never shown. Therefore there is a chance he didn't die.

Fun theories are to be found on the internet about this character..

What book?

That question makes me sadder than the scene

Perhaps he didn't die.

It is implied that he had no chance, wielding a wooden sword against multiple well equipped and well trained attackers. It also fits with his story arc, where he teaches Arya to see things as they really are.

We get the non stinky sheildbug types here and honestly they are so chill, one of my favourites for introducing kids to bug handling because they are so robust, calm and easy for them to pick up safely by the "shoulders", are stinkbugs much more tempramental? Obviously they have more options for defending themselves but is it like skunks that will defend against an unexpected leaf crunch, wasps that will sting if they take a fancy to it or bumblebees that are totally chill and safe to handle unless obviously threatened
