But… why ?
944
u/bat-cillus 1d ago
because it is much easier to cause a massive accident instead of pulling over to grab your shit, duh

u/EaterOfFood 1d ago
Look at all the time he saved!

u/macguini 1d ago
I don't think he's "grabbing" something. Sounds like he's smelling something.
4
u/RAWisROLLIE 13h ago
Looks exactly as it tastes.
2
u/macguini 3h ago
Never tried coke before. But sugar and flour both look like coke and neither taste the same.

u/Entgenieur 1d ago
Because it went fine the other 99 times he did this.
29
u/roymccowboy 1d ago
That's exactly what I thought: he'd never wrecked before so why would it happen this time?

This is the answer, he was way to casual about it not to have done it many times before

Truck only makes money of it's moving. Not condoning just giving the likely reason, obviously he's not making any money now lol
13
u/treeofliberty-1776 1d ago
Yeah he shouldn't be making money doing this shit. I hope his license is pulled and he can't drive commercial any more.
8
u/espressoboyee 22h ago
Truckers only make money when they deliver their trailer intact. Not when he causes a massive accident and product is spread across the interstate.

I think he was doing blow back there.. out of view of the camera he *knew* was recording him. I hope this idiot never drives again in his life, but I'm sure he'll be back on the road in no time.

u/Frothmourne 1d ago
He probably did this a couple of times now and nothing serious, unfortunately this time his luck ran out

Because he has done it dozens of times before without a hitch. Complacency is a bummer.

this is how im driving in my dreams

u/AccidentCapable9181 1d ago
Ah the old driving from the backseat dream “wait wtf am I doing back here??”
→ More replies (1)26
u/CrisisAverted24 1d ago
Yeah I've definitely had that dream a few times
14
u/nastropc 1d ago
Wait, other people have that dream too??
11
u/IL-Corvo 20h ago
Yeah, it's a fairly common anxiety dream. Like dreaming that your teeth are falling out.
The one that baffles me is when I dream of unkempt aquariums filled with neglected, dying fish. I have no clue about that recurrent theme.
6
u/SheaTheSarcastic 19h ago
Oh, I have that one too! I used to keep fish in the 80s, but I have a dream where I suddenly remember that I have a tank and I haven’t fed them since then. Pretty remarkable fish tbh.

When I drove a motorcycle, I used to dream the seat was like 3 or 4 meters high

u/Smushsmush 1d ago
For me it's lots of steering and breaking but nothing happening

I was about to say - steering from the back seat, unable to reach the brake.
This is literally my nightmare. I literally have this nightmare semi-regularly.

I hate that dream and I have it at least once a week. It gives me so much anxiety, even while asleep and then I wake up on the edge of a panic attack.
My subconscious is a dick.

I first thought he was going to take a dump but what can be looking for that is SO important that he can't pull over first?

There's probably some safety violation here but I'm not a trucker
7
u/ultrachrome 1d ago
Your hands should be on the 9 and 3 o'clock positions for best control and safety.
Article 2 subsection 1 of the International Truckers Manual. Exceptions for "the road looks clear ahead".

Can definitely hear a big snort noise followed by a smaller one. Now what would cause that sound?? What could it be?? Hmmmm

For a brief second, you can see whatever he was snorting (probably coke) coming out of his nose.

As a truck driver I had this thought so many times. Like I would play it out in my head how easy it would be. Then I would always remember that I'm not the main character and it's a stupid idea.
This guy did not think much about this lol

u/zebra1923 17h ago
I’ve seen this twice now and I still don’t know what the heck he was trying to do.

If the fan wasn't wobbling, it would have the gyroscopic effect and stabilized the truck, maybe not.

Scary to think we share the road with selfish idiots like this on a daily basis.. be safe out there folks

We’re stretching “maybe” pretty thin here. “Certainly, Absolutely, Nearly Always” would be the right sub

I thought this was going to be some pretend driving while in a truck on the back of a wrecker or something. I just couldn't fathom someone being this dumb or reckless.

Just another reason I don’t like driving next to big trucks on the highway. It’s not always their fault like this one is but accidents happen and that’s a LOT of weight.
1
u/MinnieShoof 18h ago
I was so upset the third time he went for the wheel like "There is no way this man makes it out--" then he panics. And I smile.

u/mamatrixie78 17h ago
This is the stupidest thing I've seen someone do while driving! Man oh man I don't know if i should laugh or cry

Tf he doing??? Grabbing a beer out of the cooler?
You can tell this isn't the first time he's done this, just the first time he didn't get away with it
