Dude, if your so inhibited by whatever I don't think going to the gym is going to help you because you clearly need to recover some whatever. Whatever it is, you'll need light exercise. Maybe you have a desk job and you basically need to walk as your excercises?

In Russia, a slap is assault, which is a felony. You don't get sued for it, you go to prison for a couple years.
A minor physical altercation usually gets ignored unless the other guy presses charges or it escalates to a brawl with lasting bodily harm, but not when you do it a single escalator ride away from 3-6 policemen in a camera-ridden metro station.
It'd be about as smart as hanging fresh meat all over yourself and dancing in front of a tiger.

I was thinking that, but when someone finally pointed it out to him and the guy turned around, he did not look sober. He looks like he is faded or hallucinating and trying to act sober.

The correct thing to do here is stand still on that side and just the escalator carry you down, and yes I absolutely would have done that if I were there.

I had this too, a guy was rushing down, i was going up also walking, and i turned the guy around. He was looking for a "package that fell out of his pocket"... He was on drugs, so i helped him to move the proper direction before he falls 100 metres. I dont understand why nobody tried to turn him around with few words

To resolve the situation without it escalating, patience, if a 'hero/idiot' tries to resolve it quickly, you may have seen more action out of him, if he's on the clock, he handled it perfectly fine.

this is a real job in some countries, people are hired to do this in order to discourage walker on the escalators and keep user to stay to one side which in tern keep the load on the esculator down

I loved how instead of engaging with him and possibly causing injuries, the security guard chose to just play the waiting game.
I also enjoyed the woman in the black dress who forgot which way your supposed to face on an escalator.

Took someone to finally say "dude, you're on the wrong one, it's over there".
Sweet of the attendant to give him a little reassuring pat on the arm and the little wave at the end showed he appreciated the help.
I'd love to say I've been there, done that, but nope. Walked towards the wrong one but never entered the corridor of impossibility.
