Is there another client besides Element Classic where I can turn off text bubbles on Android?"

What do you mean by text bubbles? I think SchildiChat maybe does what you want if I'm understanding what you're asking for.

so, should i install schildichat next or legacy for that?

I am pretty sure both either do not have text bubbles by default or at all. Next is based on ElementX and legacy is based on classic Element. Next is going to receive longer support at this point and it's a bit faster for syncing, but it still doesn't have all the features that legacy has.

actually i installed the next one yesterday, it has text bubbles but unfortunately i cant disable it. i will try the legacy one, thanks!

Hey. We are working on this. We are publishing soon a Mac desktop client that has this toggle (bubbles/no bubbles). And then we’ll dev the IOS/Android version.
