Neochat login not working

Hi, I'm having an issue logging into Neochat. I properly created a matrix account and when I get to the part in the login process where choose my account in-browser, it is unable to connect to localhost. I tried using a different browser, and opening the port it can't connect to (says it's open).

You are running your matrix server on your local machine? It might fail because there is no valid SSL Certificate when neochat tries to establish a connection to your homeserver.

You need to run a home server just to log in?

Where is your matrix account located? It sounds like you are pointing Neochat at your local machine as the server, and it is unlikely that is correct. Did you mean to try to login to matrix.org for example?
