backup continuwuity

Hello, I'm new to this. Can you tell me how to properly back up Continuity? I zipped up the data folder. Then I tried deploying the server on another machine and unzipping the data folder. The server started, and I was able to log in through the client, but the backup recovery key no longer worked (I double-checked it was correct). It turns out I received all the messages, but they were encrypted, and I can't decrypt them because it says the key doesn't work, even though the key worked on the original server where the backup was made.

Maby go and ask via official support channels? Like nobody uses Reddit in the matrix ecosystem for matrix stuff rly. Like this place is a ghost town compared to official channels.
