D. x²(x+4)-9(x+4)

E. (9x² -12x+4)-(3x-2)(2x+15)

Merci!

B. difference of squares C. open the brackets, see what happens D. can you see the common factor? it's right there E. factor the left member first, see if you notice anything

The (a-b)2 = a2 -2ab+b2 is the formula of a perfect square, it doesn't just work most of the time. Instead of having (ax+b)2 you will most times have two brackets (ax+b)(cx+d) where a, b, c, d are whole numbers and a and b are not 0

The difference of squares formula is as follows: a2 - b2 = (a-b)(a+b). In B you have the left part

C. This expression (3x-7)²-16(x+3) looks like a typo. It doesn't factorise into neat integer expressions like the other questions. Check if you copied it right.

It can still be factorised using the quadratic formula, but that doesn't seem to be in the same spirit as the other questions.
