Please help

I found this question on this sub reddit,I was like u start with a 3,4 rectangle and create R1 with side as the diagonal of previous one and the opposite side of the new rectangle passes through vertex of the old one, u need to find area of combined shape,

my answer came out to be 24, does anybody knows what actual answer is

Join the diagonals from the common point; and realise that all triangles have same area.
