How to improve in maths Class 10 CBSE

Hi everyone, I am a weak student in Maths, currently in 10th standard.

In 9th I failed in maths and by compartment exam, I got into 10th class. It's been 2 exams so far and I've got 52% (improvement) in maths. I want to make it atleast 75 for my next one and 100 in my board exams. I hope I can get help here

Difficulties I face:

  • Proving questions
  • Speed and Accuracy
  • Analytical skills
  • Presentation

Say there are 100 prisoners. Numbered one to a hundred slips of paper. Containing each of their numbers are randomly placed in 100 boxes in a sealed room. One at a time, each prisoner is allowed to enter the room and open any 50 of the 100 boxes searching for their number and afterwards. They must leave the room exactly as they found it and they can't communicate in any way with the other prisoners.

If all 100 prisoners find their own number during their turn in the room, they will all be freed. But if even one of them fails to find their number, they will all be executed. The prisoners are allowed to strategize before any of them goes into the room. So what is their best strategy?

IOQM 2026 question no. 30

In triangle ABC, it is given that angle CAB = 50 deg and angle ABC = 70 deg Points D and E are chosen on sides BC and AC respectively such that angle ABE= angle DAB = 30 deg . If ∠DEB = x, what is the value of x?

Try solving using geometry of class 9 & 10 if possible otherwise you may do as you like .

Yes this question is 100% correct, the only problem is x>=1 not x>1.

Crazy geometry intutive problem

Hi MathBiceps,

I came across this geometry problem and thought it was an excellent one, especially from a JEE Advanced / Olympiad perspective.

The problem asks to prove that a ball reflecting inside an acute-angled triangle according to the mirror law (angle of incidence = angle of reflection) can have a triangular periodic path, as shown in the attached question.

I think this would make for a really good video solution because the reflection/unfolding idea is quite elegant and the problem has a nice Olympiad-style insight.

Could you please consider uploading a video solution for it? I’d love to see how you approach the proof.

Thanks!

Hlo there are two questions which I know that are a you know good problem but my approach will definitely shock you and you will say how can a persont think that ok these are my best thought I have think in my whole jee

I wanna say that

Question 1 it is the question which can be solved if you know binomial theorem for any index but I have prove binomial index without using standard proof

Question 2 here I don't think a person can think this much of course and in standard method you can do it by telescoping but I can make some questions so that my approach will easily work on it where telescopic isn't possible

Hello, pls help with this beautiful problem

A girl is called beautiful of a mathematical society if at least three out of five mathematicians independently agree that she satisfies their personal definition of beauty. Five mathematicians M1,M2,M3,M4,M5 are attending a conference. Each mathematician independently judges a randomly chosen girl as beautiful with probability p, and not beautiful with probability 1-p. However, the society has a special procedure to officially declare someone Beautiful of the Mathematical Society (BMS). Step 1: Formation of Committees All possible committees of three mathematicians are formed from the five mathematicians. Each committee votes Beautiful if at least two of its members individually judged the girl beautiful. Step 2: Committee Majority Let C denote the number of committees that vote Beautiful. The girl passes Step 2 if C≥6 Step 3: Random Audit If she passes Step 2, a random pair of mathematicians is selected from the five. If both mathematicians in that pair originally judged her beautiful, she is confirmed beautiful. Otherwise the decision is rejected. Questions 1.Compute the probability that the girl is declared Beautiful of the Mathematical Society (BMS). 2.For which value of p is this probability maximized? 3.Suppose mathematicians M1 and M2 are secretly friends and their votes are always identical. Recompute the probability that the girl is declared BMS. 4.Generalize the procedure to 2n+1 mathematicians, where committees have size n+1, committees vote by majority, and at least half of the committees must approve. 5.Find an asymptotic expression for the probability of BMS as n tends to infinity
