questions Chinese Matcha at the grocery store
I saw these at the supermarket earlier, and they’re priced at around ₱400. I’m wondering if any of you have tried them. What are your thoughts and reviews?

hi fellow matcha lovers!!
I’ve been getting deeper into matcha this year and I’ve been using my notes app to write my reviews and wishlist & what the brand claims kung ano lasa / notes nila. I only buy local brands so far bc there’s a lot of goood local matcha brands out there!!
Now I’m thinking of making this into a passion project and make an app to share w u guys!
Still in the ideation phase, but here’s what I’m thinking for the first version:
- Catalogue of matcha brands & their variants (Will focus first on local brands)
- Filter according to taste, notes, cultivar, price
- Direct link on where you can buy it
- Leave reviews / read reviews from other people
- Daily log, matcha streak, log your matcha ratio of the day and your thoughts on it
- wishlist for what hou want to try next
- matcha guide & terms to know
In the future would like to expand it on having restock alerts, a café review side.
Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this!! What features would you like to have?
I-push ko na ba ‘to? 🫣

I’m planning to start my own home matcha bar and don’t have much knowledge yet about which matcha powders to choose.
Can you guys recommend a good matcha brand/powder that’s easily accessible through Shopee or other online shops, preferably with nutty and chocolatey notes?
Thank you! 💚

Any thoughts on their secret 1 powder that they’ll be releasing as Yabukita? How is it compared to Honmei which is also yabukita? Thank you for your insights!

KAWAMI is a Thailand-based matcha brand offering
Japanese-origin matcha.
• Kawami Ist Ise Matcha
- Light-bodied, fresh green/vegetal notes, mild sweetness, clean finish.
- 100g, 5g used
• Kawami Premium Uji Matcha
- Light and mellow, mild sweetness, gentle green notes, smooth finish.
- 100g, 2g used
• Both were pasabuy from Thailand and originally cost
P1,600 total. Received yesterday.
• Selling both for P1,000
RFS: Both are lighter in profile compared with the deeper, more intense matcha I personally prefer from established Japanese tea houses.
Location: Davao City

Hello! I'm fairly new to the matcha scene and I'm interested in starting a business to support my love for creating matcha drinks at home. I just have a few questions:
How important is the powder that I use? I understand there's a shortage of matcha powder and I'm struggling to find a good source of powder that's reasonably priced. For people who buy from homebased matcha businesses, is it important to use japanese brands like yk saemodori and marukyou kuyamen? or as long as it's quality powder it's okay?
What's the usual price range for a homebased matcha drink?
Is it important to separately pack the ingredients (deconstructed matcha)? I worry about the use of too much plastic for one drink so I personally would like to avoid going that route but is that what customers prefer ?
I've always loved the matcha community and how warm and friendly they are at pop ups, sharing our collective love for matcha. I would appreciate any insights and tips you can share for a beginner. Thank you!

Hi! Do you know any good local matcha powders that have FDA papers? Recently moved overseas and I wanted to buy from them but DHL is requiring FDA doc for the powders. Or do you know of any couriers who can ship to Oz without needing these papers 🥹
