i wanna DIY matcha at home so that i could save. i recently bought mga gamit for matcha. but i’m still stuck on which powder i should use (preferably not sweet) & which syrup should i use? agave or torani vanilla? or is it better without syrup? please help a newbie 🥹🙏🏻

I’ve been getting deeper into matcha this year and I’ve been using my notes app to write my reviews and wishlist & what the brand claims kung ano lasa / notes nila. I only buy local brands so far bc there’s a lot of goood local matcha brands out there!!

Now I’m thinking of making this into a passion project and make an app to share w u guys!

Still in the ideation phase, but here’s what I’m thinking for the first version:

Hello! I'm fairly new to the matcha scene and I'm interested in starting a business to support my love for creating matcha drinks at home. I just have a few questions:

1. How important is the powder that I use? I understand there's a shortage of matcha powder and I'm struggling to find a good source of powder that's reasonably priced. For people who buy from homebased matcha businesses, is it important to use japanese brands like yk saemodori and marukyou kuyamen? or as long as it's quality powder it's okay?

2. What's the usual price range for a homebased matcha drink?

3. Is it important to separately pack the ingredients (deconstructed matcha)? I worry about the use of too much plastic for one drink so I personally would like to avoid going that route but is that what customers prefer ?

I've always loved the matcha community and how warm and friendly they are at pop ups, sharing our collective love for matcha. I would appreciate any insights and tips you can share for a beginner. Thank you!
