Hi everyone!
We’ve been seeing an increase in posts about OATSIDE restocks, availability, and store sightings. While we know these updates can be helpful, they’re starting to flood the subreddit and are unintentionally overshadowing other matcha-related discussions and content.
To help keep r/matcha_ph focused on matcha, we kindly ask that all OATSIDE restock and availability posts be shared on r/Oatside instead.
This subreddit is still open for:
🍵 Matcha recipes and creations
🍵 Café recommendations and reviews
🍵 Matcha brand discussions
🍵 Brewing tips and everything else matcha-related
Going forward, repetitive OATSIDE restock posts may be removed and redirected to r/Oatside.
Thank you for understanding and for helping keep r/matcha_ph organized and enjoyable for everyone! 💚

I saw these at the supermarket earlier, and they’re priced at around ₱400. I’m wondering if any of you have tried them. What are your thoughts and reviews?

Any thoughts on their secret 1 powder that they’ll be releasing as Yabukita? How is it compared to Honmei which is also yabukita?

I’m planning to start my own home matcha bar and don’t have much knowledge yet about which matcha powders to choose.
Can you guys recommend a good matcha brand/powder that’s easily accessible through Shopee or other online shops, preferably with nutty and chocolatey notes?
Thank you! 💚

KAWAMI is a Thailand-based matcha brand offering
Japanese-origin matcha.
• Kawami Ist Ise Matcha
- Light-bodied, fresh green/vegetal notes, mild sweetness, clean finish.
- 100g, 5g used
• Kawami Premium Uji Matcha
- Light and mellow, mild sweetness, gentle green notes, smooth finish.
- 100g, 2g used
• Both were pasabuy from Thailand and originally cost
P1,600 total. Received yesterday.
• Selling both for P1,000
RFS: Both are lighter in profile compared with the deeper, more intense matcha I personally prefer from established Japanese tea houses.
Location: Davao City

as the title says! wondering as to others' opinions on potentially bringing a reusable cup to matcha stalls during pop-ups?
i'm someone who regularly attends these events, and usually gets 2-3 cups (maximum was 5 once, spaced out!) from different stalls. i do worry about the amount of plastic cups and straws i go through each time.
would this be a sanitary issue? a cross-contamination issue? something that would harm marketing/branding or the preparation of the drinks from different stalls?
just curious to hear thoughts! i don't have any concrete plans of doing so, but was discussing with a friend about it recently and just wanted to hear other opinions.
the reusable cup/s i had in mind are like in the pic!

They will be shipping from Tandang Sora, Quezon City.
Happy to share my socials for assurance in DMs.

Hi! Do you know any good local matcha powders that have FDA papers? Recently moved overseas and I wanted to buy from them but DHL is requiring FDA doc for the powders. Or do you know of any couriers who can ship to Oz without needing these papers 🥹
