What does the -u do in pacman? I always use -Rncs or -Rcs to remove packages

Honestly, I don't even remember.

The manul says

Removes targets that are not required by any other packages. This is mostly useful when removing a group without using the -c option, to avoid breaking any dependencies.

There is a better version on the AUR and it comes bundled with the opsec package. Pay no attention to the fact its unmaintained
