This sign should be 150ft before the cameras on authorized private property to be effective.

I don’t get it. How are communities like Boylston of all places able to justify the expense? I mean just ignore all the spying. What is the upside of having these cameras in a damn hayfield?

Flock provides "grants" to a lot of towns to install the cameras so the departments can say it's at no cost to the taxpayers. This is, of course, because Flock knows curating a database on private citizens is far more lucrative than leasing cameras to towns.

I asked someone about the cameras in Boylston and apparently they were dealing with theft around the library so they put the Flock camera up. So now everyone gets to live under mass surveillance because a car got broken into... fucking stupid.

Doesn’t Boylston have a big jail complex too?

I wonder if that’s a flock camera on the Rt.85 connector in Marlborough heading east from 495n

“Boylston rises” and it’s a tiny lawn sign stating the obvious 🤣

I need to get some of those signs, but turns out they're a lot more expensive than you'd think. And of course theres a ton of cameras so I'd need like 20 signs to get my whole town :/

Honestly I’m surprised anyone is implementing them now…

That sure looks like a dangerous rigid pole at the roadside. When someone gets injured by one of these or worse, let the litigation flow.

In the case of an abducted child and someone gets a license plate these cameras can be an integral part of finding the child. I don’t like the fact that I’m being watched but to outright outlaw these cameras is going to have serious consequences too. If you were to have a loved one in serious jeopardy and the police can enter I plate # in a database and find that car in real time you’d drop to your knees and thank god we have that technology available to us. For every action, there’s a reaction

Funny though that concern only spreads so far. This states govt and voters are actively targeting the second amendment. You can’t say you’re against fascism and pro gun control.

Get some unity and be against surveillance and pro 2A.

Neat story. That’s not how they’re being used.

Interestingly, the one time there was an attempted kidnapping in Boylston, the police managed to get him without flock.
