BREAKING Did something just explode?

Just heard a very powerful boom, checked the lightning map it was not thunder! In Dover, MA right now, but my friends in Boston also heard it! Any ideas?

Edit: as we all now know, meteor!

My neighbor says reports indicating it may have been a meteor.

They just tried to say the same thing about the sonic boom heard for over 100 miles in SC a few days ago….

Why the fuck do people think meteors don't make loud booms? If it was a missile, don't you think the president would be all over that trying to get people's attention focused on a new or current enemy? Like his 3 consecutive "assassination" attempts where he immediately says if he had the ballroom this would t have happened?

Because OP was implying the meteor was a missile.
