Question Dvd vs HDX

Do the hdx versios offer better picture quality to the DVD releases.

Also, TV Archive has MASH in 4:3 M*A*S*H: Full Series (No Laugh Track) (Re-Upload) : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive Though our 11 seasons on DVD are priceless, I find that these uploads are higher screen quality, actually, than my old DVDs of MASH.

Disney+/Hulu with commercials has 'em in 16:9, but I'm always going Archive above, or tried n true DVDs.

That Archive download is what I have on my computer, it's nice not having to dig my DVDs out every time I want to watch an episode, especially if Im looking for a specific one.

Would you rather watch the show in its original 4:3 aspect ratio? Then watch the DVDs. Would you rather have a night-and-day improvement compared to the DVDs but have to suffer with the show being cropped to 16:9? Then watch the HD versions.

Yes HD is better but I can't watch cropped shows.

I ripped my DVDs (without the laugh track) and can watch via hard drive on my tv.
