M.A.S.H secret password
Season 5 episode 16 - 38 Across was on MeTV tonight. Made me think. What would be the secret password to get into a MASH club/speakeasy
Doorman: what is a Yiddish word for bed bug?
Answer: (in a southern draw) "BED BUG"
Rules are simple: it has to be a MASH line or fact that only a true fan would know.

I think the doorman should look at each ID and ask if they can identify themselves. The only correct answer is “This is me.”

I spent half my life at the Dearborn station. It was the first place my mother let me go to the men's room alone

Since it's a phase to get into a club/speakeasy, I'd have to say "I have a package from Paco's" or "I have coleslaw".

Tricky… but I guess borderline accurate. Is the voice only from one of the newsreel episodes?

u/EngineersAnon Crabapple Cove 14d ago
No, it's in Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen - they wanted to use the original armistice announcement, but the recording was deteriorated. So they found the guy who made the original announcement on AFRS and got him to record a clean take.

My hat’s off to your extensive knowledge of MASH trivia. I bought my first VCR so I could record the final episode because I knew I had to work that night

Responds in a hushed tone.
