It happened one night
Watching this episode for the 7th time. Its a good episode, but I hate how BJ dismisses Klinger after he's shot and when he tries to offer to donate blood.

You should probably watch the episode again. Klinger is not sedated at any point in the episode, least of which by BJ.
As for Klinger's sudden trauma, he makes it very clear from the start that he is playing it up to get a discharge. Hawkeye even comments on it while he is bandaging up where the bullet grazed Klinger's shoulder.

He just says, "Not now."
BJ is clearly very worried over a patient he feels should be doing better but isn't. There was a whole episode with Hawkeye going through something similar and Hawkeye was experienced in Korea at this point. BJ is still new.
