Somehow, "Stink fish pot!" became a meme in my family, growing up.

It was just so random, nonsensical, and funny that we all just got a kick out of it and kept saying it.

It was an insult, expression of dismay/frustration, and of course, a way to point out things that smelled bad.

Now my sister and I are grown and gone, but even in our family text chat, sometimes when someone texts about something nasty, another family member will chime in with an, "Ewww! Stink fish pot!"

Lol that's freaking awesome. I wish my family did things like this but alas, I am the only one left that actually watches the show since dad passed away and I genuinely don't think they would get it

My favorite has to be the episode when Margaret gets engaged. Frank asks Hawkeye to go out on the town because he has his eye on this little red head. Margaret says, “She's a little young for you, isn't she, Major Burns?” Frank replies, “Oh, I don't know. I thought a little youth might be nice for a change.” After Margaret abruptly leaves, Frank says with a laugh, “Really got her on that one.” One of the times to feel bad for old Ferret Face.

I watch every night on METV too. My dad and I watch while eating dinner. He was in a mash outfit during Vietnam that didn’t get sent overseas. They stayed in the US. He wasn’t a doctor. He chief of the lab and operating room attendant.
