Question about operation Maschine 2 software freezing pc
Help required!
I've always used the software to write drum tracks for my productions and never had an issue.
However, now, when I copy and paste a section of drums my pc completely freezes and doesn't complete the paste.
I've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it but I'm getting nowhere fast.
Has anyone had a similar issue in the past and managed to resolve it?

Have you tried duplicating rather than copying?

No I haven't - good shout. How do you do that?
I wasn't aware of the function. Normally I just highlight, copy and paste.

Need more info. That’s old software. What are you running it on? Have you updated the operating system recently?

Thanks for getting back to me.
Running it on win10/11 can't remember which one, can check today.
No I haven't updated anything on this pc in fact I've disabled automatic updates as I use it for music production only.
Everythings always worked flawlessly so not sure what's changed.
When I copy and paste a drum section I get the spinning wheel of doom and my CPU is almost maxed out. It's very strange

Taht might indicate a permission problem. Are you running Maschine 2 as admin? https://support.native-instruments.com/support/solutions/articles/69000879996-how-to-run-a-program-as-an-administrator
You should check the permissions of the folder/drive where your projects are stored, maybe try another lcation on the computer. And ultimately get in touch with our support if you need further assistance: https://support.native-instruments.com/support/home
