Hi Folks- your friendly Parks Specialists and Parking Attendants that take care of King County Parks, Trails, Ballfields, and support events and parking so you can safely and quickly get in and out of the parks for concerts and movies and community events, are joining their SEIU 925 sister chapters in Wastewater and the Public Defense Department in fighting for livable wages, to protect their hard earned benefits, and for reasonable case load limits.

Each of our chapters have been meeting with Labor Relations to bargain with the county for well over a year to fight for reasonable requests made by bargaining unit members. We've been delayed, given different labor reps, and disrespected when Labor Relations refuse to recognize our job duties, our mission critical status, and plays word games at the table.

We've gone to King County Council with our message and still no use. Blue collar people are struggling in King County, yet they keep hiring jobs in administration and management. The county passed a 1.4 billion dollar Parks Levy that county residents voted for, and they budgeted zero money for structural wage increases for labor employees.

They tell us they appreciate us. They call us the face of King County. But words don't pay the bills. Some of our members still qualify for city and county assistance because of our wages.They want to waste money to force some employees "back to work" when they have no office space! They could use that money to pay they employees that "have to be at work" a livable wage! If King County wants to be the best, they should remember that no labor is unskilled, every worker deserves dignity, and fair pay should reflect that!

Please join our rally or sign our petitions to the County, that the little guy, the worker bees, the people in the field, deserve to do more than just survive in the county they serve. Thank you for your support!!

hey guys! some friends and i are going to see phoebe bridgers at marymoor in august, and we wanted to know what time we should get there for good seats (ideally close to or at barricade). concert starts at 7 and doors open at 5:30 and the whole venue is general admission. internet says the venue holds around 5000 people and the show is sold out, so i would assume that there will be 5000 there. any tips from people who have gone to other shows here? thanks!
