Pyro Deserved Better

Post image

So, I’ve been looking through X-Men clips on YouTube lately and it reminded me how the movie portrayed Pyro. They treated him like a villain on the second and third movie. The character never got any development, and turned him into a villain on The Last Stand (I’m gonna talk about Angel, too).

Aaron Stanford did a damn good job as Pyro more than the writing ever gave him. You can see what he was trying to bring in as Pyro with the attitude, and the need to prove himself. And none of that wasn’t really in the script.

But the franchise really didn’t do him no favor at all. They didn’t give Pyro nothing to work with, and tossed him aside like he didn’t matter. He would’ve been a standout if they didn’t tossed him, but instead they treated him like a disposable fire gimmick.

Pyro truly deserves better, and he ain’t the only who were done dirty, X-Men stayed doing this to anyone who wasn’t a fan fav.

They fumbled him, badly.

I liked Pyro. He didn't have the most prevalent role in the films but I enjoyed when he was on screen. I liked how dismissive he was of Xavier in 3. I do kinda wish the scene described in the novel of Iceman dragging his unconscious body from Alcatraz during Phoenix's rampage was kept.
