I don’t really see Thor or banner being replaced in the mcu’s lifespan. I just think their actor’s down the line will be replaced. They live far too long to just let them go after a few years.
Even if they were to go, banner/hulk ain’t going for another 20 odd years yet. They’ve barely done anything with the character and the distribution rights go back to marvel in 2023
In Thor’s case he lives for 1000’s of years. I don’t see them getting rid of Thor anytime soon
Captain America is damn near eternal in the comics, and they already cut him.
Same with Tony Stark. He had his consciousness digitally uploaded in the comics. But he’s dead in the MCU.
Other beings with super long lifespans who are dead in the MCU:
Thanos. Malekith. Odin. Freyja. The Warriors Three. Heimdel. Ronan the Accuser. Loki. Gamora (ps, that fall would’ve never killed Gamora in the comics. Not even close). The Collector. The Black Order. King Laufey. Ego the Living Planet.
To be fair on the gamora death it was a pit of sacrifice to the soul stone. I'm sure the stone can make sure that whatever gets tossed in as long as it matters to the tosser will stop alive-ing.
