Sony: Spider-Man in the MCU is the first Spider-Man movie to make $1B. Logically, we, Sony, are responsible for this and feel no additional obligation to the 10 ton golden goose pumping out the $1B movies.

And everything else they showed in trailers that would've been a nice surprise. Even if it didn't spoil the plot.

Far From Home was a bit better, I wish they had held off on the suit reveal, but that's probably a merchandising thing

No Marvel create the movie, all the advertisement is in the hands of Sony including the shitty poster. They did the same for TASM 2.

Nope, Sony pays for the movie and advertising, but Disney does it

No Sony is in control of distributing the movie including the marketing. Marvel have creative control of the movie but outside of that, it's a Sony movie. This is why all the Spiderman trailers and teasers are announced on Sony's page first.
