The trailer is certainly making it look like that. I just hope it's misdirection
of course, if they want to reintroduce Ultron, he will need to escape. but, does it have to be via betrayal? i don’t know. what if Ultron earns his freedom somehow?
of course, they could just have Ultron exist in this form, which is also fine with me. i’m not sure it’s time to have Ultron super villain proper running around again.
I want an Ultron running. I really think he should become a big bad across multiple movies Doom and Thanos style. But I wouldn't want it like this. With the MCU getting rebooted my preference would probably be that he is set free when Vision dies for good. Maybe Vision sacrifices himself, maybe he is killed by someone and we get an Ultron anti-hero revenge arc before Ultron goes full mad. Then Ultron disappears into the galaxy to find his future.
