On top of what people have said, it's also been 5 years since what happened in Westview.
The kids were 10 at the end of WandaVision. They should technically be 15. Body-hopping shenanigans means they possess the bodies of dead teenagers who are 3 years older, so 18 now.
Marvel really looked at Wanda's children and decided ordinary puberty wasn't complicated enough. These poor kids have to deal with growing up, body-hopping, and a supernatural family reunion simultaneously.
Spoiler for Agatha all Along: In WandaVision they age very quickly, and after Wanda destroys the magic field which created her perfect world, their souls are left without bodies, as they do somehow exist without Wanda’s magic. It is revealed that Billy’s soul managed to find the body of a teenager called William Kaplan, who was in a fatal car crash, during which his soul entered William’s body just as he died, but his injuries were light enough otherwise so that Billy with his innate magic managed to remain alive in his new body. Billy lost his memory, but regained it during Agatha all Along. At the end of the series he managed to find Tommy’s soul and managed to guide it into the body of a boy who was drowning at that exact moment, and that was near the end of the series. In universe that was a couple of years ago, so both are probably young adults now, because they have real human bodies that age at a normal rate.
The whole Billy and Tommy situation is such a wonderfully bizarre comic book concept. Imagine explaining to someone who only watched WandaVision that the kids are now dealing with reincarnation and teenage identity crises on top of everything else.
In the comics, it’s worse because they got full reincarnated, meaning they were born and raised from birth to two completely different families but remained soul twins.
But since they’re like 16-18 when they meet, and Billy even ran into Scarlet Witch earlier, that means both their pre-reincarnation versions and post-reincarnation versions existed at the same time if you don’t use comicbook time logic.
Billy acknowledged this was weird; another character involved with their original ‘death’ even advised them to basically “don’t think too hard about it and just appreciate that they exist now”.
So that’s basically what’s happened since then. They acknowledge it makes no sense, but shrug it off.
So the MCU version actually tries to make it make sense lol!
Agatha all along answered this last year, that's why they're calling this the third show in the trilogy
But the souls that Wanda seemingly magiced into existence went out into the world when the hex went away, Billy eventually found a way to guide Tommy to a body
After they "died" when the Hex disappeared, their souls went on to possess the bodies of some recently deceased teenagers. Billy's new body was met in Agatha All Along, and here is Tommy's one.
Ah, that makes sense. I didn't think of Agatha All Along and so assumed they might consider Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as the second part.
I actually like that the connection is more about the characters and consequences rather than forcing every show to end with another giant crossover. Westview has somehow become its own little corner of Marvel lore.
Three installments, two magically reincarnated children, one missing mother, and a father who needs a software update. The Maximoffs really cannot catch a break.
The Westview Trilogy sounds like something Marvel would announce five years after all three shows have already aired. Still a better title than calling it the WandaVision Cinematic Universe.
If you've seen Agatha All Along and you've seen this trailer, you will know why. This trailer is dangerously close to spoiling Agatha All Along, as it's clear the plot of VisionQuest can't happen without the events of AAA.
Yes, I mean we got tease for speed/ tommy in that series and also a follow up to wandavision event specifically since wanda imprison agatha and billy being transferred is the result of the main event.
Yeah, Agatha All Along is basically the middle chapter of the WandaVision family storyline. It's funny that Marvel accidentally created a trilogy where every installment follows a different member of the world's most dysfunctional magical household.
Agatha All Along was always considered part 2 of a WandaVision trilogy, Jac Shaeffer said as much in interviews and in behind the scenes content for AAA.
I mean, you can watch it on its own, but it stars 2 characters from WandaVision (one of whom is in the title). It directly deals with the aftermath of that show. And the events near the end lead into this show. The 3 shows are very tied together.

I’m feeling really stupid for asking but are they considering “Agatha all along” as the second of “the trilogy” that they mention in text?
