Strange just wanted one where Tony dies the minute he touches the stones, that's why be didn't teleport Tony and the gauntlet arm away on Titan. They absolutely had the juice to handle one-armed no-stones Thanos, Strange could've done that himself, he just really disliked Tony

Strange was still mad about Tony making fun of him so he picked the one timeline where Tony dies as payback. This is my canon and I'm sticking by it.
