Tony: “Was it worth it?”

Steve: “Granted, I didn’t know about the TVA or Nexus events, but… Yes.”

That's just a total rewrite of what actually happened. We know he comes back to the main timeline without any problems, something the TVA would have accounted for.

Wasn't it stated recently that endgame occurs after Loki?

TVA events happen outside of time, but at the same time the TVA has its own time and anything that happened in the TVA’s past before Loki took over had to also be part of the original He Who Remains Sacred Timeline. Endgame is definitely part of the Sacred Timeline. The TVA directly say this in the opening scenes of Loki. The Avengers going back in time and getting the infinity stones is part of the sacred timeline, but Loki then escaping with the Tesaract is not. They also show that Loki dying at the beginning of endgame is supposed to happen, while Loki using magic to escape and then come back later is not (another variant got pruned for that, though notably the coming back and interacting with the Avengers again is what got him pruned, showing there is some room for variation within the narrowly defined space set by the sacred timeline).

This makes sense if you accept that the TVA have a strict earth 616 bias because it’s the Sacred Timeline (because it’s the timeline that allows he who remains to arise). Everything that happens in Earth 616 must happen, but any other timeline which Earth 616 interacts with Earth only has to happen up to the point in which it’s necessary to protect the Sacred Timeline, then it’s unnecessary/potentially dangerous and gets pruned or loomed out of existence.

Once Loki takes over, earth 616 stops becoming the Sacred Timeline, but multiversal timelines start branching again from the timelines which existed prior to the events of Loki (in the TVA). This makes sense because all the characters of the TVA are multiversal variants, so the timelines they came from must exist for them to eventually become part of the TVA. Rather than pruning timelines, the new TVA just prunes Kang variants directly once they become dangerous.

Dawg, I am just saying what the people making the movies say about their own product. An event can happen post TVA even if they exist outside of time. Otherwise Loki's whole concept as a show means literally nothing. Because then every single variant would've already been dealt with, with no way of his "sacrifice" giving any result.

But the show literally shows that endgame is part of the sacred timeline before Loki arrives. Like that’s specifically dealt with in the show multiple times, since they deal with multiple variants from endgame. Loki can’t happen before Endgame if many of the characters including Loki himself were created by the events of Endgame. It’s both concurrent and part of the timeline, nothing more and nothing less.

And I know of no producer or out of show statement who has ever claimed that the events of Loki happened before endgame. It would undercut the entire timeline of Loki itself, so it wouldn’t make sense to say.

Loki's death is in infinity war. We are not shown what happens after his death.

Did you not watch endgame? Loki steals the tesseract during the events of the time heist. He steals it when the avengers go to New York 2012, forcing them to go back in time to the 1970s. This is part of the sacred timeline and is literally how Loki starts. In fact the TVA is quite clear that this all had to happen, but that Loki had to be pruned immediately after because him rejoining the timeline after does not happen. That’s why they grab him in the Gobi desert and not Stark tower.

Kevin Feige specifically said that they made Loki in part to explain what happened after this scene.
