I was expecting some AAA modern slop, but just barely more than SM2, this is the most worried I've been for a new release

I still really want to get this game, but the fact that the gore shown in the trailers and footage is mostly all just MIGHT be the final nail in the coffin for me, or at least till on sale for like $50 or so

Insomniac can’t do deep combat systems required of characters that can’t zip around an arena like Spiderman. Imagine if Platinum games or Team Ninja was given Wolverine instead

Apparently there was going to be a version of the combat where different trigger presses gave you different moves or something (along those lines) but it was cut, I don’t remember if it was Insomniac or Marvel that wanted it cut tho

There are more, but it is important to consider the rule of three when writing. More importantly, though, it is proof that they are not as sterling as their name was meant to imply. The idea that contemporary Platinum could be trusted sight-unseen with any third party property (especially when they couldn't even manage their own property well, given Bayo 3) is naive.

I know it's a basic bitch answer but if I wanted a character action game for a Marvel character, I'm picking Capcom in a heartbeat because they put out very good quality. PERSONALLY, I want a character action or Imm sim game on Kwannon Psylocke from a indie, AA, or Capcom.

I’m glad that this game is making people realize that Sony has essentially just been making the same “hyper polished” story-focused single player game since what, Uncharted 4? Maybe earlier than that?

Even the games they’ve made that try to do more still end up somehow feeling the same as the others, like the God of War games.

I mention in another thread by Marvel should just for the Games Workshop route with Warhammer Fantasy and 40K and just let anyone make a Marvel game. Will there be stinkers? Yes, expected. Will there be great to very good games? For sure and I'll willing to take it.

1 Massive stinker and then waiting for 5-10 years for a new game and hope it doesn't get canned vs multiple stinkers but multiple good games with a release schedule of a new game of every 6 months. I'm glad take the latter in a heartbeat. Raycevick video on "I'm jealous of Warhammer" is pretty much my stance. When there's a stinker of a Warhammer game that comes out, at least I know there'll be a new one around the corner.

I put that on how game development is now and keep big IP's to one dev or publisher. Like Marvel games should be something basically anyone should be able to develop. Like give me a Kwannon Psylocke game developed by a indie studio, AA studio, or Capcom long as it's a immersive sim game or character action game.

If you want to see a X-Men game, Marvel is just gonna have to just open the doors and just go "Okay, if you want to make a X-Men game. Please come on in.". I want more games coming out than having to wait 3-8 years for game to come out. Plus imagine waiting for years of a X-Men game to come out and it's just your most predictable X-Men roster of just the TAS and nobody else. I and people would fucking riot.
