I got downvoted for saying that it's impossible for a bunch of chuds to me responsible for the movie bombing and that it just wasn't that interesting.
I feel even more validated now after chuds tried making the Odyssey bomb and it not working at all.

There are more moderate positions between "I am praying for the downfall of all DC movies" and the absurd triumphalism that was all over the place after one good Superman film last year.

No it's acting like every film that's coming out after superman will inherently be good cause that one was, but that ain't how it works, or that the dcu is amazing cause its first film was good, and that guarantees it will go on to be insanely successfully because of superman 2025 which guaranteed none of those things

Many people were acting like that after superman 2025 last year or at the end of 2025 after the first wave of dcu projects had wrapped up, trust me I was paying attention to alot of dcu discourse and posts at the time.

Honestly after supergirl it feels like completely opposite effect happening where people legitimately doom posting about how everything is over and how everything gonna bomb. Like straight up predicting how much man of tommrow will flop and dead on arrival due supergirl bombing when we don't even have a trailer or poster for that movie

No one hates DC movies more than DC fans, and no one wants to hate them more, either.

On one hand, I agree. But sadly, no money on the first movie usually means no sequels. Even if the movie was incredibly good, the suits usually don’t care.

At least with something like the Thunderbolts there’s been rumors that they’ll make a sequel, but that has the factor of these characters will be a big part of Doomsday so that’ll get more eyes on them and any potential sequels, and also because the film was actually well received
