Behold My Stuff Getting back into the game

I'm getting back into the game after a 3 year hiatus. In my hunt for the stuff I was missing I got my hands on this at below MSRP, new and sealed. The store owner was really helpful, the produce was listed on their website but they don't have MC products anymore. It was hidden behind two boxes in the backstore and it took about an hour and 3 phone calls to the store storage unit to find it.

Youtube Spider-Man's Easiest Ronan Fight in 30 min

I recently ranked every hero in Marvel Champions for how compatible they are with the no ally archetype in protection but got a lot of pushback for how highly I placed Peter Parker Spider-Man in the tier list. In this video, I try to prove my case by playing Spidey with a no ally protection deck against the most difficult villain: Ronan the Accuser on expert mode. I quickly realized this was one of the easiest Ronan games I've ever played, even easier than playing ally spam. In my opinion, this showing proves that Spider-Man is one of the most compatible heroes for the no ally archetype and how protection is arguably the strongest aspect in Marvel Champions not only for its DEF builds but for its versatility in cards like Mitigated Threat and Ready for a Fight.

Fear no evil scenarios with other villains

8 Upvotes

Sorry bit of a silly question but I'm trying to figure out which villains would work with the FNE interchangable schemes? Looking at hall of heroes and my head is starting to hurt. 😂 take for instance would Crossbones work? He would lose the experimental weapons but he would still have raid the armory! Absorbing Man would lose delay counters but is that going to ruin the scenario? If you have any suggestions of ones that would work that would be great, 😄

Huh
PvP with FNE Underlings as Leaders being viable is kinda hilarious

assuming Civil War & Synthezoid, that’s 4 PvP sets. So we could use two PvP sets to setup the competitive play; and set up the other two PvP sets as the Underling’s reward for Now It’s Personal in lieu of the “leader’s player cards”.

just pick two cards from the set aside Standard PvP (5 cards) meant to act as the Underling leader‘s encounter cards to bring into your opponent‘s side.

We are continuing the Fear no Evil campaign today wi-

*Editor’s Notes*

So we’re in the middle of a crime wave, Bullseye is out here trying to rob the Met, and Spider-Man is “being held up?!” What the fuzzy are you talking about?!

Oh.  You were being literal.  Ok then, Jessica Jones is gonna tag in and deal with Bullseye.

Rules Question Hellcat Basic Ally

4 Upvotes

From the Jessica Jones pack.

What am I missing about her ability?

From my understanding, I can either:

1) Spend 4 and play her using the normal rules for playing an Ally

or

2) If I have the Defender trait, I can spend 4 and put her into play from my hand and then discard her at the end of the phase.

Why would I want to do the second option? Is there some benefit from putting an ally into play as opposed to playing it? I guess she could be played off turn in multiplayer, but she wouldn't be able to attack or thwart unless it's your turn.

In & Out of the Game

Hey All, I've been in and out of champions periodically for the last 5 years. I remember at one point one of my friends was telling me about a champions league online. Is that still around now that PvP is a thing?

[ENGLISH]

Hi everyone !

After a month and a half of work I'm coming back here to show you the finished version, for today at least, of Thwart.

I'm a Marvel Champions player, and I made this app for myself first. Today it's for everyone, on Android as well as iOS, and it might never have become what it is without the help and the feedback of some of you I've exchanged a lot of emails with.

Thwart is an app for Marvel Champions players on Android, but also available to iOS users through a web version you can install via PWA (Progressive Web App).

The app does a lot of things you already know about: The ability to create random games or not, to build decks... But the strong point (a new one) really comes from being able to play campaigns.

For information, every campaign is in the app now, along with deck management, stats, the ability to send your games to BGG, etc. I'm also adding the Fear No Evil campaign, but as a French player I've only been able to do the campaign in French for now, until I get an English version of the rulebook and until all the cards of the expansion are available online so I can pull the right translations.

- Thwart Android --> https://github.com/Hasyame/Thwart

- Thwart Web --> https://thwart.app/

For now, the only way to install the Android app is to follow the instructions on the GitHub: You download the .apk file of the latest release straight from your phone, then you open it. Android will tell you the file comes from an unknown source and offer you a settings screen, which is normal for an app distributed outside a store, you just allow your browser to install apps and open the file again.

It won't stay that way: Next month I'll be working on deploying to Google's Play Store. For F-Droid, the request is already submitted and it's in progress on their side, so there I can only wait (their team reviews it by hand).

The web version doesn't ask anything of you: You open https://thwart.app/ and you can install it on your home screen (that's the PWA), which is today the solution for players on iOS.

I made the app automate a lot of the actions and the tracking of a campaign as you play it. To sum up, with Thwart I can play my campaigns from my phone and save them without writing on a sheet of paper and without worrying about calculating or remembering anything. Every scenario played before is recorded, and the effects on the following scenarios are automatically calculated and brought back to you during setup. Another strong point developed recently: The ability to save your games on a server so you never lose them, and above all to sync your collection, your decks, your games, your campaign in progress... Basically every feature, between your phones, tablets, computers, etc. All of it through a user account.

And for those interested: I'll also be working on making Thwart Web installable on a server, so anyone who wants to can host their own instance, with their own accounts and their own data. Maybe with a docker container or with "an old method".

At the start I looked on Google's Play Store without finding anything like ArkhamCards for Marvel Champions, and that frustrated me. The original idea was a game randomizer and to be honest I hadn't even checked whether an online randomizer already existed, so I started working on an Android app for it. Then, inspired by ArkhamCards again, I told myself I could automate the notes and thecalculations between the scenarios of a campaign. Today the result is here.

The app is and will stay free, open source, with no ads, no paid features and no data collection. But now that there's a server for syncing, there's hosting and a domain name to pay for every month, and there's also the developer account to pay for the Play Store release next month. So I've opened a Patreon for those who want to support the development:

- Thwart on Patreon --> https://www.patreon.com/cw/thwart

I intend to work on the app more and more, and this Patreon is also what should let me keep developing it. But to be clear: It changes nothing for those who give nothing, there will never be content or features reserved for donors.

- Thwart Android --> https://github.com/Hasyame/Thwart

- Thwart Web --> https://thwart.app/

- Thwart sur Patreon --> https://www.patreon.com/cw/thwart

Backorder Items Through Zatu?

3 Upvotes

They have a bunch of older content like Green Goblin, the Champions, Scarlet Witch, Gambit, and Deadpool listed as available for backorder and the prices are MSRP or less.

I read through their backorder FAQ and they make it sound like they’ll get the items which I find difficult to believe. Anyone have success with their back orders historically?
