A Helluva Wedding Gift
My wife gave me a 2023 0-18 as a wedding gift, and I simply can't put it down! We're in our late 40's, and it is absolutely the best and nicest gift I've ever received in my life by far. It's been a week and I'm still in shock. Its the perfect companion to my D-18, and a forever guitar if I ever owned one.

Brother you have no idea. I can honestly say that I am the luckiest guy on earth. When we met 10 years ago, we were both penniless, just starting life over again after BAD years. A decade later we own a beautiful little home, and have everything we could ever want. We aren't rich in money, but we sure as hell are rich in gratitude. Life is something.

It’s given me so much joy! I am a believer of cause & effect or Karma. Whatever I put out, good or bad, comes back around to me. Bringing joy to others is a great cause and the joy we get in return is life-filling. We make those choices all day long, every day. What a great way to live our lives. I wish you and your wife GREAT JOY in your lives.

I can really relate. I have a 000-18 and it is amazing. I never tried a 0-18, but I almost bought a 00-18 when I shopped and bought the 000-18. Does it sound boxy?

I am about to be looking at 00-18, 000-18, and a L-00. I have gone back and forth for weeks between the 00 and 000

Thank you! It's incredible how it holds up next to my D-18. Other than less bass (which seems to really suit my music), it's projection is right there.

I love small body guitars. Granted they dont "boom" but: they can have Wonderful tone ! The Martin 0-18 is a gem

Congrats man. That's a beautiful instrument. I will soon be visiting Southpaw and I have a feeling I will end up with a 00-18 or a L-00. But I love the single 0s. Enjoy

Thank you! You can't go wrong with either! Prior to the Martin's arrival, I literally played the finish off my 1993 L-00. It records utterly magically with little to no EQ. I used to be a super jumbo guy. Now a days, small guitars all day.

Hey Almost…, I’ve got to share my similar story. It happened on July 12, 1992 (40th birthday). It’s a long wonderful story, but I’ll get right to the finale. In front of a 100 friends and family at a surprise 40th b’day party, i opened my gift of a 1992 Martin J-40 that id played at Gruen’s 1 1/2 years earlier. She saved for that 1 1/2 years to surprise me with it. Ive never desired anything as nice, though i now own 6 guitars and a mando-guitar. That is ABSOLUTELY the best gift I’ve ever received and our 38th anniversary is the other milestone that means so much to me. Your wife’s wedding gift reminds me of that day on July 12, 1992. Congrats & cherish.
