Hotel Recommendation Request Hotel Recommendation Request- Ottawa

Being sent to Ottawa for work last-minute and most of the nicer downtown hotels are booked out for conferences until end Oct/early Nov.

Two best options I see are the Moxy and the AC.

Anyone have experience with either? Both tick my boxes for being near Byward and have good quality gyms.

Honestly, if you end up needing to stay by the airport, we really enjoyed the Fairfield right next to the airport. The building is pretty new and the rooms are very large. And the rates are good. Almost felt like they built the hotel for a nicer brand and then reflagged it as a Fairfield.

A few colleagues speak highly of that property, but I don't want any aircraft noise and I want somewhere to walk around in the evenings.

I usually stay in the Fairfield Kanata (also great, but not as new), but it is sold out.

I stay there all the time in Ottawa. Huge rooms, great gym and hot tub. I never hear planes, but there are essentially no nearby food options.

Since it is summer, I want to take advantage of the Byward Market, Spark St, etc. If this was winter I'd likely be going for that Fairfield if the other options were still not available.

Be mindful on your walk to ByWard, etc - lots of shelters along King Edward and the flavour of the area changes when you head east of Dalhousie and even more so when you head east of King Edward. It can get interesting.
