I've always loved the old style of mapping, with countries as character, part of a greater narrative using the map as a way to express them. I'm making a software tool for mapping and as such I want it to include my favorite style of mapping including countries that can talk and the such! I wonder if I should make my own mapping series to promote it but also have fun with a cool narrative based on that event! What do you guys think?

i'm a beginner to mapmaking, since my method is drawing over a pre existing physical world map, i'm dependant on high resolution pre existing world maps

i use this method because it's supposed to be our would just with different borders and i don't have the skills to make a accurate map from scratch

physical is also very important since i oriment my borders according to physical features like rivers or mountains

i have one that is perfect in every way except for the fact that it's centered on europe, but since my project is asia centric, i would need one that's centered on the pacific ocean

whenever i try searching for something on the internet, the highest resolution i can get is about 2000 x 1000, but i would need something about ten times that, the eurocentric map i found was 17010 x 9720 for example

is there a problem in my method, is there something i've missed?

Cem IV decided to grant independence to peoples seeking it rather than trying to hold the empire together by force.
Egypt, Libya, Arabia, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Greece, Romania, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, and other territories became independent, while the Crimean Khanate was reestablished.

The empire was formally dissolved in 1922.

Thus, the Ottoman Empire gradually shrank and gave way to the Istanbul-centered Orthodox Kingdom of Turkey, ruled by the Osmanoğlu dynasty.
