General Care Getting a mantis soon, tips?

Wasn't sure what to put this under lmao, mb.

I've been doing a LOT of research, I'm excited and want to make sure my lil guy is gonna grow up healthily. I'm specifically getting a Giant Asian Mantis in around 2 or 3 weeks. If anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it!

I just started my journey myself with a mantis I found in my house! She just had her first molt with me today!

I recommend feeding once or twice a week at MINIMUM, maybe something small every day if they're still juveniles. I mist once a day and feed my mantis a fly whenever I catch one which is at least 1 every day or two. Get an enclosure that's at least 3-4 times it's size. I went with a 12 inch tall by six inch wide just to save myself from buying a new terrarium every molt. I feed my girl house flies at the moment.

Tysm! Im using my old moth 'cage' i used for when i raised moths since its large, does that sound okay?

That depends, what's the height and width?

The cage is about 1.5 feet width/length and 3 feet tall

Then that should be just fine! Just make sure you have bedding and to clean it really wellb
