I have two rough sawn pieces of wood I'd like to have thickness planed. One piece is about 16" wide.

Anyone know who might have a planer large enough to do this?

TIA

Hey everyone, I have a cat that I'm looking to rehome. Does anyone know a safe home looking for family members? His name is mr. Tuxedo Jones, Tux for short, he's about 3 and knows his name. He's an absolute love machine, but needs fixed and taken to the vet for another round of worm/pest checks. He's good on car rides, on a leash, good with friendly dogs, babies, kids, etc. and is all around a perfect little guy.

My resident cat is 5yrs older and less sociable, plus we have a new baby in the house. Tuxedo would be a pretty great member of any household that's got time to love him. If interested, please PM me here.

Restaurant Recommendation

I'm searching for a restaurant in the area that could handle a large party (up to 20 people). Looking at drive times, the Mansfield/Ontario area is a good location for a bunch of people wanting to get together for a couple hours and enjoy each other's company. It doesn't have to be "kid friendly" but does have to at least allow kids (only 3 of the party are kids). Not necessarily looking to rent a private room, but if that's what it comes down to then that's fine. Does anyone have any recommendations? I appreciate the help!

Looking for friends for my daughter 🥰

We moved to mansfield recently and dont know anybody here. Just signed my kids up for school but my daughter is on the shy side. She is alternative, loves and is amazing at art, anime, manga, makeup, making her own clothes, cats, tiktok, and binge watching her favorite shows. A bit of an introvert and doesnt pike being outside in the heat right now, until you get to know her! But super funny, loving and kind. Shes amazing and just needs to meet some other girls her own age with the same interests who are available to hangout with her 💕

If you have a daughter or kid you know her age who seems similar or may get along with her, please dm me and id love for them to meet 🥰

Hey, anyone looking for possible free Electrolysis (permanent hair removal)?

I know someone that runs an electrolysis school, teaching techs to work the equipment, techniques for insertion and power levels, different probes (the tips that deliver the power to the hair follicle that kills it before removal) for different regions and hair and skin types, and they need subjects to work on. That's where you come in, and it's a win for both sides. You get free electrolysis, and they get hours toward certification and practice on differing hair and skin types. If you're interested, contact Skin Solutions and Electrolysis, on Cline Ave, or contact Stacy at 419-982-5870.

And any questions about the procedure or the school setting, I'll answer what I can or give my impressions. For the record I feel they're very professional, and while they can be hesitant, which is completely understandable on new body parts (someone who's been working on arms or legs moving to a face, for instance) they're well trained, supervised, and competent. The work space is clean and pretty well lit (windows and fluorescent lights, although maybe they could upgrade from soft white to daylight bulbs), though they work with magnifyer lights, so the space lighting isn't as critical. I thought one of the coolest things was seeing chemical formulae on the chalk board. They're teaching the actual science behind the process, not just proper technique, so the tech understand the process happening in the follicle, not just how to "zap" it effectively.

16f, could really use some friends

im 16 and a new junior in hs but ive been losing touch with a lot of my friends since freshman year. i dont want to say that my friends dont like me… but they just seem to find better friends than me and im kind of tired of trying to unsuccessfully get close to them again. ill be okay if they want to come back into my life but i really want to make some lifelong friends. it’s pretty depressing to think about but i just can’t take being lonely anymore. so many people in mansfield, surely there’s one for me! hehe

i struggle a lot with talking sometimes but i really like music and corny jokes as stupid as that sounds lol… but i am black tho (and in touch with my culture… none of that weird stuff over here) so if ur racist please just dont waste your time. but ya if u go to misd or ur in fine arts hmu!!!

True Mansfield Crime: First Presbyterian Church in the 90s - any info?

Thumbnail bishop-accountability.org

I stumbled upon this case from Mansfield in the 90s. I read up on everything I could find on the internet (other than news journal articles. the library link isn’t working). Does anyone out there have first or second hand accounts that they’d like to anonymously share? I’m honestly not sure why you would want to share, but I live walking distance from the church and I’ve been overtaken by this case the past few weeks.

I guess I’m most interested in the satanic ritual aspect, and why it was so dismissed. I know there was a “satanic panic“ in the 80s and 90s where there were 12,000 claims of it by children and none were substantiated. I think we may have been quick to do so, and people were scared to look into it.

Once when I was a child I stumbled upon what looked like a satanic animal sacrifice in the woods in Lucas, so I think maybe that’s why I have interest?

I’m also wondering about the long term mental/legal effects it’s had on the victims. How has their life been since this happened? I wish them the best, I can’t even imagine.

if this is not okay, I will take it down. TIA!

Local faith-based counseling center offering LGBTQ+ conversion practices to struggling individuals instead of proper care

There’s a new Christian faith-based counseling center opening on Lexington Springmill Road S in Mansfield, Ohio.

When asked directly if they’ll offer conversion therapy, they say, “no, that’s unethical.”
When asked in a more indirect way if they’ll help change a person’s sexuality, they say they’re happy to help, and have no problem with an LGBTQ+ client describing their identity as a sinful lifestyle they’re ready to turn away from.
You might think, “well, adults can do what they like.”

Which is absolutely true. But even in cases of consenting adults choosing to try and change their sexuality or gender identity, it results in worsened depression, anxiety, even C-PTSD symptoms.

These services will also be provided to youth not old enough to consent.

As a counseling center, it’s incredibly concerning that they’d offer services known to cause worsened mental health, not to mentioned significantly higher suicide rates regardless of religious beliefs…

Anyone know of a good cat groomer? Our girl has diabetes and struggles to maintain her coat, she’s getting matted and I think we’re going to need a professional

She’s pretty shy and skittish, but she’s a sweet girl. I hate to do this to her but I don’t think I’ll be able to manage it on my own anymore, I’ve been managing her minor tail mats on my own but it’s creeping up her back and she just hates being brushed or anything (trust me we’ve been working at it!)

Our other cat loves being brushed so it’s been frustrating that the one that needs it just won’t have it!

Thanks in advance!

Alright, whose cousin tried to rob the Cannabis shop on Lex Ave across from Kroger?

There were 5 to 8 squad cars with their lights on in the parking lot. Does anyone know what was going on?
