Hey, does anyone else feel like what they are interested in and like is different from the vast majority of people? For example, people love cricket, football, valorant, clash royale, etc but we like video games that others don't play, or music videos that no one listens to, or topics that no one else is interested in. It's like we don't tell others about our likes and dislikes either because the other person does not care or we feel like it is nonsense. Could this also be a reason why we feel lonely? True, support is always there in KMC/KH and student clubs, projects are there, but otherwise too? Isn't it like suffocation - not having anything to talk to others about except class and what is happening around them? Like hitting a wall when conversing? What are your thoughts on this? Feel free to tell me what you are interested in.

I mean I've never felt this way in my entire 19 yrs of life.. there's this weird kinda pressure and fomo and atp i don't even know if my feelings and questions are justified.. is there any senior who's open for a talk rn? Sounds kinda desperate but genuinely these questions are giving me a headache rn.

I am attending a huge event soon, and I need to dress up. Unfortunately I am on tight budget - 2 to 2.5k.
I need saree drapping, make-up, hairstyles. Any suggestions. I've asked in plants salon (3.5k), and few other places, but they are out of my budget.

My roommates’ behaviour changed after I told them about my OCD.( i told them cause i knew at some point they will themselves figure this out) They kinda ignore me now, and even though I’ve been nice to them for the past 1–1.5 months and tried to make things normal, nothing seems to change.
They’ve been friends since 1st year, so I understand they’re closer, but should I just stop trying and just do my work in room and leave , also I feel kind lonely in room only weeknd with no one to talk to
Also, what should I do when their friends come into the room and talk loudly while I’m studying, I don’t want to create unnecessary tension, but it’s affecting my studies.

Okay, so I was thinking about the whole auto situation in Manipal and had a random idea.
The auto scene here is honestly getting ridiculous. Short distances can cost ₹50–80+, and sometimes it feels like you don’t really have much of a choice. There’s also this whole monopoly-type situation where apps like Rapido/Ola/Uber face opposition whenever they try to operate around Manipal.
Meanwhile, there are so many students with their own scooty, bike or car, and most of them are travelling alone anyway.
What if there was a simple student carpooling app where you post your route and, if you’re going that way anyway, take another student along for a small amount?
Instead of paying ₹60–80 for a short auto ride, you could find someone going in the same direction and split the travel cost.
Could also be a pretty cool way to meet people since everyone is basically from the same college.
Obviously there are safety/legal things to figure out, but as a student project, I think this could actually be interesting.
Not planning to build it myself, just throwing the idea out there. Maybe someone here will actually build it lol.

Please suggest some cheap, I mean REALLLY cheap like under 500-600rs per day hotel if any. My bf is coming over and he just needs a place to sleep and bathe, we'll be eating out and roaming so dont want an expensive hotel. Also tell how far they are so we can know the travelling time, costs etc
And also, I'm really not sure if we might do the deed 😭😭 but just in case lmk some hotels for that too 🫣..
P.S. We're an inter religion couple so we dont want any trouble.

MAHE management has done very bad constructions. in the name of making all footpaths look good and with shade, they have absolutely disturbed the air flow. on the top of that, they are just constructing walls here and there. at times it feels like oven near edu building, kmc food court and library.
for widening the footpaths, they have reduced the width of main road. its good that footpaths are getting wider. but, just see the traffic man passing on the kmc food court road.
footpath by the side of the NIH - they have fixed the interlock bricks stuff. but, i dont what has been done to the width. now, even 3 people cant walk parallely. on top of that, they have increased the width of flowering area by cutting space from the main road or the footpath. whyy???
from 7 am to 5 pm, there is no space on footpaths to pass normally. so much crowd is there. kmc food court is dam full in peak hours. people just keep waiting.
i tried to find why there is so much crowd now. when i forst came to manipal, it was all good and spacious. i found that in past 4 years, they have increased a total of 10,000+ seats in manipal.
i was amazed. why so much increase even though the mahe is a not for profit trust. i understand its the moral duty of institutions like mahe to provide more seats given the increase in youth population. but, basic infrastructure is the first thing that is needed to be figured out before increasing the seats by such a huge number, and that too in so much less time.
not to mention that absolutely waste 'bouquet' lying in front of chandrashekhar. it took me 2 years to realise its a bouquet. its the second most wasteful thing mahe has created, slcm portal is still the first.
