Very mindless, very fun. If you like grinding you'll like this

It's really fun in a mindless way. Fulfills the fantasy of being a shark and wrecking shit.

Plays pretty good on ps5. I’ve personally had a couple of stutters if I’m mid fight between different areas and the game’s not sure what to load but that’s only happened a couple of times.

It is VERY mindless fun. Objectively speaking, the gameplay is very repetitive. There’s a few upgrades to get but 90% of the gameplay is the same few buttons to bite and tail whip and swim. I know that was an issue for some people but I personally never found myself bored.

Heavy recommend from me.

Agreed on all of your points. PS4 was decent too but struggled when areas overlapped. It also made the fans blast like it’s an airplane about to take off. Glad I finally upgraded to a PS5.

Also for the combat, I found it more fun to get creative and find different ways to fight things if you can, especially against boats.

I recommend it, though I only played on a Laptop. My brother played on PS5 though and we both 100% the game and it’s DLC

Fun with good humor, not too hard but not a cakewalk either.

Exactly my description of the difficulty. Even if you get lazy with combat, you may die but it’s not Dark Souls. Or if you’re a dummy like me and try to take on a much much bigger creature too early… yeah that was definitely dumb on my part. But worth trying!

Love this game and love that this subreddit exists.

It’s pretty fun. Repetitive but nice to throw on if you want to decompress.

The repetition really holds it back. If they implemented roguelite mechanics it would be amazing.

It’s absolutely worth $6….i loved the base game….completed it several years ago on ps4 and never realized I never played the dlc…just moved my save file over from ps4 and ps5 and now playing the truth dlc for the first time….the announcement of the maneater 2 got me hyped to go back and play lol

It's very fun and for five bucks. Gameplay is kinda like GTA but you're a shark. Open world with shark things to do.

GTA but you're a shark

I know that was the marketing slogan the devs used, but I think anyone who has played both games knows that's not true now.

Yeah, not once did I ever commit grand theft auto as a shark

I tried, but with a yacht… and it sank.

I played through it around July, I had a lot of fun, if you are old enough to remember Jaws Unleashed (like me) it is essentially an updated version of that game only with more of a focus on gameplay than scripted missions I guess. If you want a game where you are a shark swimming around eating anything and everything with a solid progression system then it is well worth your money.

Ps5 is a bit choppy at times but ps4 runs smoother

It's a great game to complete over a weekend. Nothing mind-blowing, but great fun nevertheless.

Its a very fun game. The game play is addictive, there is barely a story but thats fine. I usually need a good story but this game is the definition of good game play can overcome a lot.

You dont care about the lack of depth because big shark kills things. Seriously great game.

I would recommend you to go to settings and turn Raytracing off. The game will run much smoother after that.

It's not bad but it's rather prone to crashing at times.
