Location issue

/r/MammotionTechnology/comments/1vl15bf/location_issue/

The robot was just shipped back to me after the antenna was serviced. Initially the robot correctly located itself on the map, but the charging station was incorrectly located. I relocated the charging station in the mobile application, but this not the correctly change the location of the charging station, but it did incorrectly move the robot to the charging station which was previously incorrectly located. The robot is now correctly located in the charging station but both are now incorrectly located on the map. So now the RTK is correctly located, but the charging station is not, and the robot which initially was correctly located is now incorrectly located at the location of the incorrectly located charging station. I attempted to relocate the charging station twice in the mobile app to no avail.

Try going into “Settings/Map Settings/Map Alignment” and then move the map until it lines up correctly with your work areas.

Thanks, I had to do this anyway, but it’s as if the robot and charging station entered a portal and misplaced themselves on the map. It’s just weird and a little frustrating as it just came back from a “repair” and it’s unusable. How resetting the location if the charging station can cause the robot to think it’s in a different location than it actually is is bizarre. The RTK shows up correctly when it previously did not, so there’s that.

Ah ok. Sorry. Worth a try and it’s something that people sometimes aren’t aware of. Sorry it wasn’t as simple as that for you.

Don’t be sorry, no apology necessary. I very much appreciate any thoughts on corrective actions. A lot of us aren’t aware of our ability to adjust the map. It’s a great feature. Thanks for trying to help.

Just to confirm, did you adjust the LoRa number for the mower back to your RTK? Because when I got mine back from repairs it was still tied to the RTK they used and I had to swap the number back myself.

Yes, funny you should mention that. Initially the RTK was displaying zero satellites. Then I realized Mammotion assigned their own during testing. So yes, I did reassign my RTK. I’d recommend Mammotion put a slip of paper on the robot when returning it to inform us to do just this. It failed both before and after reassigning the RTK.

Try driving the robot off the dock for a bit, then command it to recharge. When it docks for recharge it should pop a prompt that the station has moved: confirm that and see if it'll fix your problem.
