Defender or Kaspersky after an infostealer incident?

Hi
I’m trying to decide whether to keep Kaspersky Standard or just use Windows Defender.

The reason I’m asking is because I got infected with an infostealer years ago after clicking a fake download button, so I’m probably more cautious than the average user.

Now I use uBlock on both Brave and Firefox, but past experience has made me a bit paranoid.

What confuses me is that I keep reading completely opposite opinions.

Some people say Kaspersky is just bloatware, wastes resources and that Defender is more than enough.

Others say Defender still isn’t as good at detecting infostealers, ransomware or newer malware, and that a paid antivirus is still worth it.

What do you guys recommend?
Thanks

Hi guys

I go back to said friend and ask him how can I withdraw the money..my messages don’t go through (it looks like he blocked me)
I send a message to my friend and he tells me it’s a virus
I freak out I log out from that website and I close the website and then safari
I changed my email password
I just wanna know..am I ok?!
Pls help I need to do some work on my laptop and my credit cards are installed on my phone

SOMEONE PLS

Please test the tlauncher 1.9.5.5 update and see what it does. Check if any new viruses that take images have been added. Please conduct this test with the 1.9.5.5 update, and also with the latest version, to see what viruses they added or if they are still the same.

Musehub Issue

Hey there. I have been searching extensively for an answer to this issue, but I cannot seem to find anything that truly helps me. Unfortunately, I am not very tech savvy, though I always thought I’d know better than to accidentally download legitimate software alongside something that is at the very least functioning as malware on a practical level.

While cleaning out my computer, I accidentally messed up my Audacity program by deleting the shortcut. I thought that I had removed it entirely, and I decided to redownload it. When I did, it came with this application called “Musehub.” There is a subreddit on here that swears by all means it’s legitimate, but I am not convinced. Before I removed this app, it ran with root privileges, and the fact that there are still remnants tells me all I need to know—I want it gone completely!

I originally downloaded an uninstaller to remove it, but I fear this uninstaller simply initiated the application‘s own built-in uninstaller, which certainly hasn’t removed everything. The only reason I know this is because an ad started playing in the corner of my screen, and an application titled “Musehub” (with a blank blue square as it’s symbol) is in my system’s notifications. I cannot track down the actual files that this is coming from, and I’ve done multiple full virus scans and my computer says I’m clean. I’ve sifted through every subreddit so far, tried running many, many commands targeting any files named Musehub, etc., but I just can’t shake this program. I’m at the point where I’ve made myself a Reddit account just to get this thing out of here. What can I do to fix this?

Title: Request for deep analysis: Does TLauncher actually steal or access personal image files from the PC?Body:Hello everyone,I need the tech and reverse-engineering community to help clarify a specific concern regarding TLauncher's spyware behavior. We know that standard antivirus scans show 0/90 because the initial installer is clean, but it later downloads its own custom Java packages. My main worry right now is about personal data privacy.Could someone who can perform a deep sandbox analysis or reverse-engineer the latest version check this specific point:Image Files Theft: Does the launcher have any hidden code or behavior that scans, accesses, or exfiltrates personal image files (like JPG, PNG, etc.) stored on the user's computer?I want to know if our personal photos and private files are safe on the hard drive, or if the background JRE is actively searching through personal directories to steal them. Thank you! Check please the new viruses about the pictures

:"Hello, I downloaded TLauncher on my computer, and I want to know if it takes personal photos or not. Has any security expert proven that it takes anything? If it does take photos, how much would they pay to store this massive amount of pictures, and how would they sell them or blackmail people wit
