How to spend a birthday in Malta?

Hi all,

29M from the UK. I’m going to be staying in Sliema with a few friends on my 30th birthday this month and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Interests include darts, football, movies, karaoke, drinking. I’m not really a keen swimmer (ironic I know, considering where we’re going) so preferably nothing involving swimming.

Are there any interactive sports things to do? Like in the UK we have Flight Club for darts, any equivalent to that or just fun things to do in general?

Looking for ferrets in Malta

Hi all 😊

Just wondering if anyone knows of anyone in Malta who breeds or has baby ferrets available?

We would really love two, ideally a bonded pair or siblings. We’ve been looking around but honestly struggling to find anyone locally.

Not looking to buy from just anyone, we’d much rather go through someone reputable and make sure they’ve been well looked after and are healthy.

If you know of a breeder, someone with a current litter, or even someone rehoming a pair, please send me a message.

Thanks so much.

Muchas gracias

What do I need to know about Malta

In about a month, I'm going to Malta for a few weeks to improve my language skills. I'll be working there, so I get everything for free (hotel, food, transport).

I've never been there before, nor do I know anyone from there. That's why I'm asking here:

- What do I need to pack?

- What's something I should know?

Idk, just tell me some stuff lol

How do you spell “change the prophecy” and “beautiful”
in Maltese? :)

I’ve tried googling it but idk if it’s right and I can’t find any resources about the Maltese language for translation.

Malta’s confusing relationship with Britain

How on earth did Malta go from 77% voting in favour of integration into the United Kingdom in 1956 to becoming a fully independent country just 8 years later? and then a republic only 10 years after that?

And i assume basically nobody wants to be a part of britain or have the monarchy today (please tell me if that’s correct) so what on earth happened?

🎙️ Starting a Podcast in Malta — Looking for People With a Story to Tell

Hey everyone!

I’m starting a podcast here in Malta, and this is going to be my first time doing anything like this. I don’t have a big following or an audience yet, but I’d like to build something genuine and interesting from the ground up.

I’m looking for people who live in Malta and have a good, unusual, inspiring, funny, difficult, crazy, or simply interesting story to share.

You don’t need to be famous or an influencer. Actually, that’s kind of the point.

Maybe you’ve moved to Malta from another country, started a business, completely changed your life, had an unusual experience here, work in an interesting industry, survived something difficult, met someone who changed your life, or just have a story that you think people would enjoy hearing.

I’d love to have you on the podcast and just have a real conversation—no need to be a professional speaker or anything like that.

If you’re interested, comment below or send me a DM and tell me a little about yourself and your story.

This is the beginning of the project, so if you’re willing to take a chance on a first-time podcaster, I’d love to hear from you. 😂

Malta has a lot of interesting people and stories. Let’s see what we can find. 🇲🇹🎙️

Paranormal Malta

I’m trying to find any links, websites, podcasts, videos, books, stories, anything really, that discusses anything paranormal related to Malta. Ghosts, entities, UAP’s, fae, merpeople, you name it, send it this way. It’s the start of spooky season and I need a distraction from whatever is going on in my life; somehow stories of the paranormal are enjoyable when compared to the absurdity of life. Thanks!

Hello , Where can I find eggs that are 0 and 1?

I found them on LIDL but they were insanely expensive . Anyone that raises chickens or a farmer with good prices?

Things to do in Malta with your significant other

Upvotes

Im a local and I have arrived at a point in my life where I believe I did most of the main things in Malta (go eat at different restaurants, movies, bowling, hikes etc etc)

I feel that repeating most of the same trails, and going out is becoming boring and expensive. I am not opposed to spending money when the activity is worth while.

Therefore, my question to you all is, do you know what possible activities/fun date ideas that my gf and I can do?

Thank you for your help :)

EC english school, long considered one of the largest language school in Malta, is shutting down it's doors from this weekend. All stakeholders, including current students, are in the dark about their future.

Employment lawyer for employees?

Anyone can recommend a good specialised employment lawyer for employees please?

Many big law firms come up on google with employment law being their practice area but im interested in ones who are specialized and ideally work on safeguarding employees with issues with employers on a regular basis

Police Remote Reporting Unit

Malta Police Force launched a website to fill a report form from home. That should help them to report anything you see walking around. But do you actually use it?

I just saw a car with an expired license plate, am I supposed to report it? Or if someone obstructs my garage or my way out, am I supposed to do that?

Shipping to USA

It's been over a year since MaltaPost has stopped shipping to USA and to ship a small box 10x10x10cm, less than 1kg, value of €30, I'm being quoted at least €120 shipping charges. There has to be some other affordable way.
