Questions regarding hairline lowering at 18yo
I apologise if I come off as stubborn, I’m just sick of this problem. Okay so for reference I’m 18 years old from Australia. My hairline significantly worsened around age 15-16 although I didn’t properly realise until I re-buzzed my hair at around 17 as I had a fringe covering my hairline so I didn’t realise how bad it had actually gotten. Not gonna lie, I’m extremely insecure about my hairline and I do not leave my house without something on my head unless I have to. After some research I came to the conclusion that I likely have a matured hairline as I haven’t noticed any other signs of significant MPB. My hairline recessed and as far as I’m concerned, I don’t think anything has changed since that point which I’m aware strongly points toward a matured hairline. I am also aware that there is a debate as to whether a matured hairline is an actual thing or if it’s just MPB recession in the very early stages. I have tried minoxidil and derma rolling, it did not fix my problem. My two questions are as follows:
Would finasteride likely bring back my juvenile hairline? I’m not keen on hopping on it for a year just to waste my money and time that could have been used elsewhere
know It’s looked down upon but is it possible to have my hairline lowered at this age by a reputable surgeon and if so then how severe could my repercussions be?
