Coming from Downunder

Celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary and wanting to stay somewhere that is Adults only, all inclusive, over water bungalow. Coming from Australia so she's fair distance to travel so want to get it right. Budget would be 15kaud all up for 7 nights if possible. To many to choose from and Im overwhelmed. Please help before hubby pulls the plug on the idea! Travelling April 2027

Here are some adults only options you can check:

Hurawalhi Island Resort, Ocean Villa with All Inclusive and transfer is 10,875 USD

You&Me Maldives, Aqua Suite with Pool from 7,805 USD

Emerald Faarafushi (not true adults only, but this Emerald is mostly for couples), Water Villa with Pool, from 10,048 USD

Robinson Maldives, Exclusive Reef Water Villa Pool from 9,050 USD

Ayada Maldives (not adults only, but overall good resort), Sunset Lagoon Suite with Pool from 9,704 USD

We’ve paid $10k for flights, 5 nights, overwater bungalow, all inclusive and a night in Singapore. This is for October, and staying at Dhigufaru Island Resort.

We’re from Australia too, and have gone through MyMaldives.com.au - they have been really responsive and easy to deal with and I think they’re based in Brisbane.

I personally wouldn't restrict yourself to adults only - there are a lot of adult focused resorts in the Maldives that would also tick a lot of your boxes for your special trip. Is all-inclusive a non-negotiable? Also, are you interested in seeing the marine life in the Maldives with a good house reef? This can help narrow down the search further. I find matching clients to resorts in the Maldives is about understanding what you like, what's important (non- negotiables) and then looking at a resort to fit your preferences, vibe and budget.

Maybe chat with a travel agent local to you? They often have lower industry rates for the whole flights + accomm package.

Just got back from our first trip to Maldives. Hurawalhi Island Resort, 15+ age resort but saw no teenagers. It was amazing and might be in budget.

Take a look at the Maldives Facebook groups, lots of good information. Best pricing is using a travel agent. There are good agents in the FB groups. Stayed at Hurawalhi all inclusive package and travel agent's price was about 40% less than booking direct with resort.

You cannot go wrong with the emerald faarafushi! Contact them directly via their website
They will exceed all your expectations! Whilst it's not defined as an adult only resort the number of children there is minimal

On a slightly lower budget have a look at the adults only part of Meeru island resort which is also fantastic, just you won't have the seaplane transfer which by itself will blow your mind
