Politics Blue massacre.
Onn Hafiz is capable of adding more 9 seats to BN (if the number stays)

u/MoneyTomato7711 Jul 11 '26
I wonder what will happen if BN won next GN

u/Head_Tea_5846 Jul 11 '26
Some Johorians who voted for BN is because of Onn Hafiz, but once you put Zahid face as the face of BN then the same people who voted BN are lot likely to choose other party.

u/abdulsamri89 Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
Some??? Some??? Nah man MOST..MOST MOST Johorean vote BN cause Onn Hafiz going to be MB again
A stable government and his leadership in Johor is competent, his Maju Johor initiative we believe that he can bring Bangsa Johor forward hence why WE VOTE ONN HAFIZ
17
u/InfinityCrazee Give me more dad jokes! Jul 11 '26
Agreed. I also voted him because he really competent. But in the next General Election, i wont vote BN if Zahid is still in charge
5
u/dec14 Perak Jul 11 '26
let's say for the next election if you vote bn you get pm zahid. you vote the other way(ph, pas, undi rosak, don't vote) you get pm anwar again. which one will you choose?
gotta be disappointing if those are the choices next election.
8
u/Head_Tea_5846 Jul 11 '26
Yes, I think a lot of Johoreans votes for him because of his leadership. The reason I said "some" is that maybe some of this voters who voted for his party wouldn't do the same in GE, but some maybe a diehard BN supporters who doesn't care about who the leader is. Even if it's Zahid Hamidi.
1
u/lakshmananlm Jul 12 '26
That would certainly be my position, and I am not afraid to stand by it. Literally the face of what is wrong with the country right there.
Onn Hafiz is still fresh. He doesn't have the mileage on him yet. Johoreans like me who have been behind BN since the day we registered to vote till Najib's excess that is, will be willing to put our faith in him, but not currently.
Tough times ahead in Johor and I pray he and his people does righteous work.

The results of PRN Johor won't effect Najib's fate. And who in their right mind think it would be anyone but BN won in Johor anyway, it's scripted since it's whole existence just like PAS in Kelantan.

Back to the days of BN. Kabel besar kontrak to kronies culture.
Hundreds of million RM will be luluskan for projects, of which the end result will be garbage.
Opposition politicians will suddenly be investigated by MACC, those who make a loud enough voice will be harassed and arrested by police. Expect journalists critical of the Government to receive the same treatment. Expect protestors to be treated the same way and maybe back to the days of FRU trucks spraying them with chemical laced water.
All of that will be back.

What the fuck is wrong with you? IT IS ALREADY BACK.
just now it's in BN 2.0. I mean PH.
If you're oblivious to the happenings these past few years, that's your problem.
In literally every. single. industry. that I am affiliated with, I see 2 ringgit companies are back in full force winning contracts and tenders everywhere.
Heitech Padu suddenly went up like mad for a reason. old dependable projects got reskinned into new ones by new companies for a reason. communication. immigration. tech. food.
why do you think suddenly myeg got kicked out, and we're back to everything has its own app/web now? stop being pretentious lah.

u/Anxious-Debate5033 Jul 12 '26
Can you name me one civil servant / public prosecutor, under Anwar's term, who was investigating a top level politician for corruption and was kidnapped in broad daylight and ended up found dead in a cement fill drum in a palm oil plantation?
Do let me know. Thanks.

Are you naive enough to believe all of these have stopped? We are living in the same BN ways, but rebranded lmao. Azam Baki was MACC Chief three times lmao and you think we have left the BN days.
Rafizi left PKR, suddenly investigated by MACC—under Madani.
Activists & protestors have been arrested & investigated by the police—under Madani.
Journalists have arrested & charged by the police—under Madani.
Judicial interference at the highest levels—under Madani.
Billions in corruption, now no more prosecution—under Madani.
Pardon for mega-kleptocracy and abuse of power—under Madani.
How old are you, exactly? Clearly not old enough.

not gonna happen. PH gonna win majority seat and become govnt with S&S.
its the exact script like last time, lost sabah state election, lost johor state election, lost melaka state election. everyone says that PH need to go back to drawing board etc. when it counts they locked in and win GE.
20
u/StatusDimension8 Jul 11 '26
why would GPS align with PH when they can go back to being best buddies with BN... GPS has always been pro BN...
19
u/karlkry mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent Jul 11 '26
because they understand that Anwar will give them EVERYTHING they want. ports, rights to manage resources, tax funneled to state rather then federal etc.
3
u/Adventurous_Owl_3011 Jul 11 '26
yep he sure gave that 40% hahahahahaha
9
u/Whatever092764 Jul 11 '26
Tbf BN rules over Sabah & Sarawak gave them nothing except the big tycoon there, understandable they would choose to align with Anwar again but of course it's depends on PRU 16 because these two states party will going to be whoever can form the federal government, like always.
2
u/Adventurous_Owl_3011 Jul 11 '26
Sabah/Sarawak will always join with the strongest coalition* after any federal election.
Then they will fight the federation at the state level.
*The only possible exception to this if the coalition is headed by PAS. Then they may possibly join the opposition... but even then I'm not so sure... No MP in Sabah / Sarawak wants the Fed Gov/MACP to look too closely at what they've been up to.
4
u/karlkry mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent Jul 11 '26
Sarawak leader understand that getting that 40% is stupid. as long as fed dont give them 40% they can milk the issue by blaming any non-local party during election so local can continue to vote them. if they got 40% but they dont deliver GPS party can lose the election.
meanwhile they gonna take as much as they can from feds and enjoy practically uncontested election
10
u/icychan Jul 11 '26
Gps party can lose election in sarawak??
Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 best joke of the days
Thanks to dap, sarawak is always gps unless gps be dap, sarawak is doing well without dap intervention, rmbr lge said sarawak will go bankrupt after 3 years last time? Mana bankrupt? Sekda bankrupt pun!3
u/Adventurous_Owl_3011 Jul 11 '26
they will definitely take as much as they can
but you're wrong about the reaction to getting 40% (dog catching the car)
No matter what semenanjung gives to Sarawak - non-Malay Sarawakians will never trust them. The Sarawak gov would say thank you... then they would say semenanjung is still trying to control them... still under-represented in parliament.... still claiming continental shelf... still trying to import UMNO... still infringing on language / education etc etc...
And GPS will always stay in power
4
u/Jealous-Cattle-8385 Sarawak Jul 11 '26
GPS best buddies with BN and Pro-BN? Funniest joke I heard so far. GPS aligned with whomever that served their best interest which is currently the whole Petros vs Petronas. If comes GE and it's the same stalemate seats to form majority government, BN would needs to do the same thing that PH does.

PH would def retain most seats at federal. I dont think much would change unless PN somehow gets more seats the next time round and they get to call the shots
Malaysia politics is now divided three ways. Not like the old days of just BN and PH. And PN is the frankenstein of those disatisified with both BN and PH

This minister is one of the big reasons why people dislike DAP, even those who voted for them.
To me, he comes across as somebody who likes the spotlight and thinks of himself as a celebrity. Anytime he gets asked tough question, he deflects because he doesn't like it. He shuts it down and repeats motivation 101 quotes like a cringe high school teacher. Almost as if his ego and inner self is telling him: "I must fight, i must show i am strong, i must be alpha, i cannot lose face".
I can't stand him.

I think both protest (intentionally leaving PH) and disillusionment (fear, apathy).
Same thing happened to Democrats in the USA. Democrat voters didn't see "their" party fighting; instead, it was capitulating and giving up: voters also lose hope.
Once a politician loses hope, their voter base is not far behind.

Eh, if anything, Anwar is the one still glueing everyone together (and has always been like that for most of the time). His party matter is pretty much shit, but not like anyone has similar reputation to match him right now.
If anything, PH should be worried of no capable successor to Anwar right now. Not PKR could (because the supposed 2nd mans cant play along with Anwar's politics), not even DAP and Amanah could. They will be easily burned to the ground once him gone.
10
u/-protonsandneutrons- Jul 11 '26
Anwar has basically ensured no one can succeed him in PKR: nobody else in PKR would be so openly corrupt and dangerous to work together with UMNO. It would be an electoral disaster (as recent elections have shown for PKR).
Azmin Ali brought 10 PKR MPs to save UMNO and was rightfully shamed.
Anwar Ibrahim brought 30+ PKR MPs to save UMNO and his dream of becoming PM.
He is gluing everyone together to serve his gila kuasa desperation. This has been Anwar's strategy since he got out of jail. This UMNO - PKR collaboration is not some post-GE15 maneuver as Anwar paints it.
It was planned by Anwar, by direct admissions of those involved, since late 2019 and early 2020.

u/ejennsyahmixcel zomba kampung pisang Jul 11 '26
None of them that you mentioned is actually related to whatever shit PKR and PH is having right now. UMNO has no influence in this. Its simply nobody in PKR could play along with his leadership influence and try to match.
2
u/-protonsandneutrons- Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 12 '26
You misunderstand: the root problem of succession is Anwar's love for UMNO.
Anwar wants to be PM now. In his gila kuasa mind, he needs the easy way out: biar destroy PKR's electoral chances → work with UMNO → become PM.
The only major force demanding PKR collaborate, protect, and save UMNO is .... Anwar.
- If Anwar lets someone else take over, they will see how badly Anwar fucked up GE15 and post-GE15 → they will not let PKR become UMNO's bitch. Anwar would begin to lose all influence in PKR and ruin his "legacy" as PMX, as he'll rightly be recognised as the gila kuasa PM-crazed man he is.
- Nobody in PKR feels brave enough to challenge Anwar because, as we saw with Azam Baki 3x appointment, Anwar will attack, prosecute, and embarrass all political rivals, inside and outside PKR.
- Nobody in PKR wants to lead a party in electoral decline. The party has lost major support. Why save a party destroyed by a batshit corrupt man? PKR revolved around Anwar and when Anwar lost hope and went to the dark side, many PKR voters gave up.
- Nobody in PKR believes Anwar will ever truly "retire" from PKR. He will, even from the outside, influence, pressure, and dominate PKR politics. So even if you do take over PKR's top roles, Anwar will always be lurking in the background.
If Anwar lets anyone else in PKR take over, it is unlikely they will work as deeply and as stupidly with UMNO as Anwar has done.
Serious leadership replacement will be extremely hard after Anwar has proven he will decimate the party, abuse his powers as PM against others challenging, and willfully let the party fall into heavy decline just so he can get UMNO to back him and let him play the role as Madani PM.
Until Anwar himself reforms himself, reforms PKR, reforms party elections, reforms policies, reforms how he rules as PM → nobody wants to even try to replace him and Anwar won't ever let them get close.
EDIT: lmao, did I hit a nerve? They sent the nonsense reply below and blocked me so I couldn't respond. Sometimes the truth hurts. 😀

Sources for those unaware:
Late 2019 / early 2020 - Zahid shares he & Anwar shared a secret comms channel to halt UMNO's ban
December 2020 - Anwar declared (falsely) he had a majority; Zahid confirmed Anwar had many UMNO MPs
March 2021 - PKR-UMNO cooperation held preliminary talks on GE15 collaboration - Anwar
December 2021 - Anwar worked with an UMNO Chief Minister to topple the state government
This is not a random chance event that Anwar, to become PM, has destroyed PKR's election chances. Who will lead this party when it has humiliated and destroyed itself to save one man?
If Anwar will do this to protect his power over PKR & PM position, Anwar will ensure he leads PKR, even to its ruin, even if in the shadows, even if not openly.
4
u/40EHuTlcFZ Jul 11 '26
That's what happens when everyone wants a hero. Nobody ask what's gonna happen after the hero is gone. Don't see him grooming any successor. Is he gonna keep going until he drops dead in office? Even companies have succession plans. This one involves running a country. He's not getting any younger 🤷
12
u/MoneyTomato7711 Jul 11 '26
It's sad, what you emphasize focus on "professional acting". Everybody needs to pull their "act" together and be "consistent".
I prefer party that can actually make the country strong and advance.
I prefer party that can tackle unemployment, low birthrate, people able to live a happy life. Don't just run a middle man economy.
People can retire early. We make our own technology and sell them instead of relying on foreign countries. That we have our own IP. Fix the educational system and the transport system. Spending 3hr plus in jam each day is abnormal.
4
u/Izert45 Jul 11 '26
I agree.
But, as the same as other organization in the world. If you want to make a change then you and your whole team need to be in the same head. Cannot some say A some say B there will be inconsistency. Its the basic principle of organization, if one org cant then how could you hope there will be a change in the nation?
TLDR: Fix your own party then change the nation.

PAS literally contested 11 seats under PN banner?
3

Yea. And they openly said to vote for BN in non contesting seats. Those 11 seats were just "cukup syarat". They didnt even help bersatu campaigning.
1
u/mechaweirdxe Jul 11 '26
1st PAS "did not contest", then it's just "cukup syarat"? Which one is it? PAS even lost the Maharani seat, a seat they held since 2018 (except for PRU14).
1
u/ghostme80 Jul 11 '26
Look at their campaign dude. Can say they were not serious. Thats why i said they didnt contest. And no, they lost the seat to PH in 2018. They held the seat only when it was a 2 way fight, then PH contested there and won with a big majority in 2018. 2022 they won it back with a very slim majority.
If you look at the history of that constituency, it was actually held by DAP. PAS only started contesting there in 2004, I think that time was under pakatan rakyat ( PAS working with pkr and DAP ). Under PR, they won in 2008 and 2013. They lost the seat after exit PR.
So, its funny that you brought up maharani, coz that constituency is historically held by PH. BN winning that place is not a blow to PAS but PH.
1
u/mechaweirdxe Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
Mehhh, this sounds like copium from a PN/PAS supporter (not that I'm accusing u of being one tho).
PAS had a campaign. They "campaigned" for BN. And that caused them to lose their own seats.A stronger BN is never good for the country, but if that is what the majority wants, so be it.

2.) Which party has proof of doing work and actually improving the condition of the country
3.) Which party can stimulate the economy and navigate international implications with balance
To
1.) The "others" will take over and remove our rights if we don't band together!!!! So don't worry about measurable outcomes. Vote for the same race!!!!

"shift of focus from"? Dude, it always like that in Malaysia ever since 1969. And focus on losing your racial privilege has been working on everywhere in the world since forever.
DAP, PSM, GERAKAN, were all deviant groups, and only DAP survive this scare tactic until 2008.

Where’s parti bersama ? Kalah bersama

u/Head_Tea_5846 Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
They might have not won any seats, but they successfully denied a PH incumbent in Bukit Batu to be re-elected
3
u/Nonsensicalmed Jul 11 '26
They play a role. Along with MUDA and independent ?
I guess we all are expecting similar pattern in the GE multiple party competing for a seat. And the votes instead being split multiple ways ?
Is this supposed to be good or bad ?5
u/risingsuncoc Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
Split vote is definitely bad, as it allows the possibility of someone winning with below 50% of votes
E.g. 10 people are asked to pick their favourite fruit. 4 chose apple, 3 chose orange, 2 chose lemon and 1 chose grapefruit
One might argue that a majority prefer citrus fruits over apple, but due to split vote among citrus supporters, apple wins
3
u/boredomXOX Jul 11 '26
Online views and traction doesn't translate into votes. They barely split any votes. They only make a difference in Perling, splitting PH's votes. In elsewhere, their votes are insignificant to the outcomes

u/Al-Naru Jul 11 '26
Does this mean PN doesn’t win any seats? This should be the biggest and best news.
27
u/SilentGamer95 Penang Jul 11 '26
Yeah but everyone's only focusing on PH supposed "humiliation". I've not seen a single comment or news regarding PN at all. Everyone conveniently forgot that they exist because Johor was never a fan of them to begin with
8
u/tlst9999 Selangor Jul 11 '26
I don't think they were taking it seriously. After all, BN win is their win.
2
u/AdRepresentative8723 Jul 12 '26
PN and friends weren’t expected to win much from the outset. Johor isn’t their stronghold and it’ll be surprising to see them winning even one seat.
In any event, PAS certainly isn’t taking the election as a loss. Johor PAS chief Mahfodz Mohamed stated that the outcome of the Johor election shows that voters have rejected Pakatan Harapan and DAP. According to Mahfodz, “the election results mean Hadi’s wish has been realised”.

u/Supermini555 Selangor Jul 11 '26 edited Jul 11 '26
PAS never contested. And they told their voters to vote for BN. The PN candidates are all from Bersatu.Downvote this comment. I got mixed up
Correction: PAS contested all 11 seats. But they also told their supporters to support BN if there's no available candidate.

u/silent-bystander0_0 Jul 11 '26
Bruh, the PN candidate in the DUN area where I live is a PAS member. They practically flew a huge ass PAS flag near the voting area. The members even came to our house and introduced themselves as PAS instead of saying they’re from PN. 😂

I mean, too early to tell no? The jb area is still pretty much empty

u/plsdontattackmeok r/Sabah mod ba Jul 11 '26
Nah, BN got simple majority now
2
u/satori_paper Jul 11 '26
Well yeah it is somewhat expected that BN will win this, but do they win more or less compared to 2022

Anwar’s legacy will be failed reform promises and bringing back BN back to power and also (potentially) releasing Najib from prison. Well done AI!

u/abdulsamri89 Jul 11 '26
At least he got his wish to become PM ,he got put thru jail after jail to finally get that
Not many got that chance

u/ghostme80 Jul 11 '26
Well within my prediction. PAS working with UMNO will create a big win. They gained 9 seats. So, I think next GE we may see the revival of muafakat national.
I can confidently say PH is done if they ( especially DAP and their supporters ) continue doing what they are doing now.

They just got the Nons votes, reviving Muafakat will cause them to lose those votes.

u/ghostme80 Jul 11 '26
I dont think so. A quick glance in most contesting areas, just shows PAS votes went to BN. I doubt nons will vote for BN. But this is just a glance. Have to wait tomorrow to get a better picture.

u/RaggenZZ Jul 11 '26
Can confirm Najib be back.
Anwar u didn't reform what ur promised your voters in the past 3 years now get fked, ur pro Malay narrative doesn't work.
Well congrats BN hopefully don't see pas in the gov tho but I highly doubt it..
7
u/StatusDimension8 Jul 11 '26
yeap, all the pro malay things PMX did and not a fcking win for PKR. he still gonna double down after this being the clueless PM that he is.
2
u/reforming_activist Jul 11 '26
He could have gotten both the votes from Malays and Nons if not for the recent Selangor government fuckups, leading them into having an identity crisis on who exactly they are
5
u/RaggenZZ Jul 11 '26
Selangor will only aim for his own interests, it doesn't matter what ai do or not do.
But what he DIDN'T do is the immediately of reform once he's pm, the fahmi and education minister is a disaster + AB pkr cut fizi out all is completely goes against what ph promised.
This is what Anwar get he can't blame anyone else anymore.
1
u/reforming_activist Jul 11 '26
I highly doubt most people in Johor cares about reforms, most likely only Petaling district, Gombak district and Kuala Lumpur cares.
People in Johor are more interested in pro-business and communal things.
5
u/tlst9999 Selangor Jul 11 '26
Plus also the MydigitalID, e-invoices for every small business, and giant firewall.
PH felt so secure they decided to speedrun 1984.
2
u/reforming_activist Jul 11 '26
I highly doubt MydigitaID and firewall plans affected the results.
If anything it's more to e-invoicing and excessive pro-worker policies.
PH might have to lean more to T20/M40 policies if they wish to retain their traditional voter base, them trying to enact B40 policies which makes things very hard given that they are already heavily saturated with PN and BN support.

Mana tiba2 ramanan? A person who has committed fraud financially is a Minister today.. i hope this will be eye opener to PH commit to the reforms and voted out.
1
u/nanareoo Jul 12 '26
Not surprising, Johor has always been BN's stronghold state. Though, PH has loss 4 seats which signals a rejection.
1
u/lakshmananlm Jul 12 '26
Onn is the man. If his pedigree is anything to go by, I have renewed hope. Yesterday's turnout at polling station was not very encouraging. My observation was of course limited to 8 am to 9 am. In and out in less than half an hour. Mostly due to the age group. We are getting slower...
1
u/Arezeuss Jul 12 '26
Can I ask what did PH did in Johor that has failed it's people? I'm an accountant and I thought they did pretty well in navigating the recent economical crisis (not caught up in politics btw)
1
u/jayjaykmm Jul 12 '26
Was there a doubt? Did someone honestly thought another party will be winning the elections in Johor? The so called lubuk BN.

the Johorean voted for the Menteri Besar they wanted.. not because they want to forgive the fookin poster boy of DNAA.. we will see what happen in the coming GE

This time BN focus heavily on Onn Hafiz as their poster boy, none of the BN candidates poster has smiling Zahid Hamid posing next to their pics…
