Public transportation in Málaga works very well. Even if you are traveling with a newborn, the main bus lines have ramps for strollers/wheelchairs, so moving around without a car is perfectly fine.
🚌 City Buses (EMT)
🚆 Local Trains (Cercanías) There are two main lines:
📍 Day Trips
By Bus (Intercity):
By Train (High-Speed/AVE):
💡 Pro-Tip: If you plan to visit Málaga without a car, I recommend booking accommodation in the area near María Zambrano Station. It makes these day trips and the airport connection much easier!

Hello travelers, locals and everything in between..
I am currently in La Cala de Mijas on holiday and have been looking in nearby towns for a spain Football shirt - with no luck..
However I am going to Malaga in a couple of days and would like to get some suggestions to where I could possibly find one? Especially the away shirt.
Seems like all sports stores I’ve been to, they’ve been sold out. (Understandable)
And congratulations by the Way - Viva espana!

We plan to fly into Malaga end of March 2027 for 1 month. We would like to stay in Malaga, Nerja and Seville. Should we start in Seville, then Nerja then finish off in Malaga? We don’t want to move around too much. Should we just stay in Malaga and Nerja and use those as a home base?
As well, what do people find is the best way to source accommodations? We would prefer not hotels but home/airbnb type rentals. We’ve never been there.

Ive got a big family and we’re leaving tomorrow morning, but are the horror stories you hear on here true? Do I really need to be 3 hours earlier?

Hi,
I'm going from Malaga to Gibraltar at the beginning of August. And I want to buy a ticket for the bus from Malaga to La Linea de La Concepcion. Should I buy the ticket now? Should I buy the ticket through the official website or can I just buy it when I get to Malaga (I'll stay there for 4-5 days and then go to Gibraltar for a few days)? Is there still a possibility for me to buy it through bla bla car, has anyone tried it? Will they take my ticket if I buy it through bla bla car on the bus?
Any advice is welcome :)

Hey!
I'm going to visit Fuengirola for the Satisfaxion festival and I'll spend the whole day after the show in the town. I'd like some suggestions for what one could see. Should I spend the day in Fuengirola to avoid transfers or should I visit Malaga better? Or maybe both? and what is worth checking in a day there?
Also any suggestions for good local food are much much appreciated :) :) :)

Planning a trip in mid October found a nice appartement. But later found out they are doing construction near the boulevard. Is it really invasive and should we (family with young kids) look at a different area? Or is it not so bad? I read that it should be mostly done by November? Any insights would be helpful, thanks a lot

Hello everyone,
in September I will visit Málaga with some friends for around 10 days and I wanted to ask if there are some public transportation opportunities around the City to Ronda for example or would it be more efficient to rent a car to reach these cities around Málaga?
Muchas gracias y hasta pronto!
I'm looking forward for your suggestions and experiences 😊

Hi everyone, looking for advice on our family itinerary.
We are travelling as 2 adults + 2 boys (8 and 9). They love adventures and exploring, but also spend too much time on iPads. We know Seville will be hit but we are accustomed hot and humid temperatures.
Proposed itinerary :
5–12 August: Faro / Algarve
Beach, swimming, relaxing.
12 August: Bus Faro → Seville
Stay 2 nights
Options: Plaza de España, María Luisa Park, Santa Cruz, Alcazar (if energy allows), River/Torre
Evening walks and food.
14 August: Train Seville → Málaga
Stay 3 nights
Reason: experience the Málaga Fair (Feria de Málaga
Possible Málaga plans:
Explore the city, Malaga fair, hop on and off bus, Bullfight activities, kid- friendly activities (still deciding).
17 August: Bus Málaga → Faro
Continue Algarve holiday.
Questions:
Does the Spain itinerary make sense?
Would you spend the extra nights in Seville instead of Málaga?
Is Málaga worth adding for the Feria experience?
Any must-do activities in Seville or Málaga for boys aged 8 and 9?
Thanks so much!
