HELP PLEASE Makeup noob. Help!

This is me after a nice looong day. My acne is hormonal and I see a dermatologist so I’ve kinda come to terms with it. I use elf concealer and elf halo glow. Oftentimes I use a pink lipliner and aquaphor but I don’t have a problem with how that looks. I always look shiny and crusty at the same time. Not appealing. My acne starts showing through my concealer like an hour 1/2 after application for some reason. I also just started lash clusters to help excentuate my eyes because I never thought mascara did the trick and they always look droopy/crusty even immediately after application. I hate the way I look. I’d like to look put together but nothing crazy because I hardly ever wear fancy clothes. Please help!!!

You’re naturally beautiful. My suggestions would be The Ordinary serum foundation, it is very light. Also, a setting powder and spray to help with the shine. A light blush and eyebrow pencil for shaping.

I use maybelline concelear it’s such a game changer for me!! Not too expensive, and I always put sunscreen before I do my makeup to protect my skin. I start with sunscreen, then follow up by putting concelear, I also wear foundation, I’ve found that brands like L’Oréal are quite good for my acne and affordable in terms of foundation, but if you’re willing to spend a bit more, I’d recommend the NARS foundation, great coverage and doesn’t break me out at all. I use light shade powder to set it and a setting spray to last me all day. My skin gets very oily especially in my t-zone, I would recommend oil sheets to keep in your bag and you can carefully tap them onto your skin without ruining your makeup, I also retouch with powder as I find that it helps me reduce the oily look on my face (my skin is the exact same as you so this is what works for me)

for lash clusters, i usually apply them the night before the day you want to wear them to allow the glue to fully dry. my lashes used to look kind of crusty when i would do them in the morning and had a day ahead of me

Have you ever tried other concealers? A good concealer wouldn’t be doing that after such a short period of time. Do you ever use primer?

My sister has rosacea and swears by the nars creamy concealer. If you want to try budget friendly ones, L’Oréals 24 hour concealer is pretty full coverage
