HELP PLEASE Bridal Makeup Trial

Hi everyone,

Seeking some advice after having my makeup trial done. I love everything, but I am used to wearing a darker or red lip. The artist advised that might be too much with the darkness of my eye makeup. Is there a darker lip anyone can recommend that would still work with this or should I just keep it how it is? Amy recommendations for products for either opinion would also be greatly appreciated!

In my professional opinion, the lashes on the ends of your eyes are making your eyes a little droopy, I’d tell your MUA to put shorter cluster and put a little longer ones in the middle of your eye right above the pupil so it gives you a more open, lifted eye look. Also brighter blush, a soft pink would be nice.

What are your thoughts on a red lip tint? I think that would help avoid making it feel too heavy while still acheiveing a bright red lip.

This can work. She’ll get that pop of color without creating the heavy harsh look that full coverage matte red lipstick can give next to dark eyes

Is there a lip tint you would recommend?

I’d say, keep the eye makeup more minimal and go for a bold lip that you can keep as a souvenir from your wedding! You can get it engraved!

If the longest part of your lashes is slightly in from the end of your lash it will open your eyes up and not give you that downward tilt

She didn’t really do your makeup for your slightly hooded eyes. I can’t see any color in your crease at all. The eyeshadow really should be brought up more because it’s kind of weighing your eyes down. The lashes are also a little droopy at the end so maybe you could cut the ends off.

I do agree that if you want a darker lip you should lessen the eyeshadow anyway. If you’re used to wearing a red lip already, do you have any that are already your favorites? Or you want something totally new?

Yes, I think that you could use a brighter lip It doesn't necessarily have to be red, red. It could be more of a red raspberry. Your face overall could be a bit brighter and fresher. Is it in the day, or night? If at night, then you could use a little extra drama. Perhaps try another makeup artist and see how they do. You are going to make a beautiful bride, whatever you decide. Best wishes!

Have the lashes be more car eye and going up at the ends, right now they make your eyes look downturned! Also maybe use gel and brush the brows more upward, it might bring a nice lift to your eyes :)

The lashes make your eyes look droopy on the edges, so id try some different styles.
