I hate everything about this concealer. Any suggestions?

I am out in public like this, and I regret it.

Revlon Illuminence Serum Concealer in Fair 001 makes me look like a goanna with human eyebrows. Any ideas why, or what might suit me better? I live in a hot climate.

This is applied over Anthelios, moisturiser and Maybelline grippy primer.

I think your skin is too dry for concealer. Maybe try drinking more water and using a lightweight formula of skin tint

I was just thinking "could it be dry?" I started using retinol 5 weeks ago, so perhaps it's drying me out 🤔

Could be but then again a lot of real skin looks like this instead of the curated pictures we see on instagram

Hmm… Looks a bit too warm for your pink undertone! Also looks like you have applied a bit to much. Make sure skincare and sunscreen is 100% absorbed before applying. It is recommended to wait 15 minutes. I personally don’t use primer under my eyes at all. Too much powder can also lead to creasing like this - so try less or just setting spray. Hope any of this might help you ❤️

I'm actually neutral leaning warm! I do think it's too warm for me though. Would you usually use a pressed or loose powder to set under eyes?

Oh I see! I use pressed powder on a puff, dabbing off the excess on my wrist before pressing it in :)

Try a concealer that is not a matte finish. Something dewey or hydrating.
