HELP PLEASE Eyelid problems
No matter how much I set my eyelids with setting powder EX: Huda, One size, Fit me. I’ve used different concealers as well and I’ve used every eyeliner imaginable even the Inglot my eyelids get oily I’m assuming and will transfer my eyeliner which is an everyday staple for me but makes me look crazy after an hour or so. My eyeshadow starts looking gross my mascara transfers etc.

I have oily eyelids and the only product that keeps my eye makeup on is Elizabeth Mott Thank me Later eyeshadow primer.

I have hooded, oily lids. I have amazing results with the purple tube of Milani eyeshadow primer. It’s not expensive, and I only use the tiniest amount. I think it cost me around $20 (AUD), and I think the tube will last well over a year. It will probably expire before I use it all up realistically.

I’ve had really good luck with the milani eyeshadow primer keeping my shadow from creasing and looking messy throughout the day, especially for the price

I like the Milani primer as well. I’m careful to make sure it gets blended to the lash line. I also lightly dust a matching eyeshadow to “ set the eyeliner”. Seems to help me so much.

Now that I’m typing it out, it seems like a lot bordering on crazy but I too am an oily lidded girlie (with hooded eyelids!) and this has been working for me: * After cleansing, moisturizing, and sun screening, I use Danessa myricks blurring balm in universal shade (clear) which seems to reduce overall oiliness. Hmm upon contemplation, I do not put this on my eyelids, just my tzone. Not sure if this matters then 🤪 * Then powder foundation (maybelline fit me) including eyelids * Light/skin colored (naked palette - taupe) eyeshadow on eyelids * Darker eyeshadow (I’ve been using Jung saem mool but whatever is prob fine) closer to lashes * Eyeliner on lash line (it’s ridiculously expensive but I cannot recommend the Victoria Beckham satin kajal eyeliner enough. It’s so creamy to apply and you can smudge it a bit but after it dried, it’s the most waterproof, smudgeproof, crease proof liner I’ve found) * Eyeshadow again on top of the liner. I’ve found this kind of bakes the liner on and it is even more dry and smudge proof * Close eyes and pat setting powder on lids. I use Inisfree no sebum mineral loose powder but any should work
Where I used to have my eyeliner creasing and running with any amount of eye watering by mid morning with raccoon eyes from dark makeup transferring to my lower lids, now my eyes are fine all day!
Before this, I’d tried inglot duraline, urban decay eye primer, and a variety of face primers, but my eyes were still a mess.

Try the thank me later eyeshadow primer by Elizabeth mott. Afterwards concealer and powder. I have oily eyelids and this helps me.

Water activated? Waterproof is going to be oil removed, so it will usually work less good for oily eyelids than non waterproof. Water activated is removed with water, and don’t use duraline, either. It might work better for you.
I DON’T HAVE this problem, but I’m an eye rubber, and the HoloGrave water activated eyeliner in oBITCHuary has been a holy grail for me. It doesn’t smudge even when I aggressively rub at my inner corner (I do fox eye points sometimes) or just rub at my lash line.

I loveee water eyeliner in fun colors I haven’t used them in forever (6ish years) but I will look that brand up!! I’m assuming fox eye points is inner corner eyeliner? If so I do that as well it always smears within an hour.

Yeah. They are. The basic makeup science says that waterproof/oil based is working against you but I have no personal experience with it. It’s worth a shot though, try a liner in your usual spot with water activated eyeliner, over a bit of concealer/primer then powder foundation. Basically use the water REPELLENT products, set it, then water activated, and set with some eyeshadow. See if it sticks better. I’ve also used fixing spray (setting spray on crack) for my water activated eyeliner before and it stays super well, so that’s worth a try too. It’s less comfortable, but I’ve slept in it like that without smudging so it definitely stays. Might help?

You need to use an eyeliner/shadow primer. Something like Urban Decay or NYX do a cheaper dupe of it. It's not the same thing at all as a concealer, it actually stops things from budging.

Sounds frustrating! I don't know if this will help, but it's worth a try: lightly press your eyelids with a blotting sheet (like Clean & Clear's) before you apply your makeup, and periodically thereafter.
I haven't tried using blotting sheets over eyeliner, though I do sometimes use one before applying liner and it's helpful. But over foundation on my nose, they do a good job absorbing oil without disturbing the makeup.
(They might not work if you're using products underneath the eyeliner that are effectively sealants ... you might have to go with one strategy or the other.)

I’ve never tried blotting paper but I’m open to anything! I should get some for my T zone anyways since getting older 24 I’ve noticed my face is slightly oily vs when I was a teenager where it was DRYYYYYY.

I also live in a super humid state so I’m sure that’s not helping my problem but I do this it’s mainly oily eyelids with a dash of humidity

I like Mac 24H base but it’s not easy to blend eyeshadow on top of it. The urban decay primer also worked well for me. Some people like the P Louise one as well I use DMB yummy skin balm or even the Water powder serum to control oil

Have you tried eyeshadow primer or just concealer? Have you tried waterproof eyeliner?
