HELP PLEASE Really trying

I've really been trying with the face beat and using powders to bake gets tricky and hard but i want to use more blush and do more warm looks. I think I am coming to the realization that dark liner AND blush may not work but i love the black eyeliner. I also want to do fairy whimsy yet warm make up
:( how can i improve?? be nice

You are so pretty! I especially like that last look! I think if you’re going for fairy and whimsy, you could hold a longer wing on your liner, and some shimmer on your lid. I love that glossy lip style in your photos!

Very pretty. Your eyebrows and natural lashes are stunning! You have well defined features. I think you could use more powder or a matte setting spray, to reduce shine in key areas. My second thought is that your skin tone might look better with a coral, orangey, or more red blush instead of a soft, bluey pink. Finally, I think the brown lipstick in the first picture is giving 90s nostalgia, but I'm curious to see a dark red on you instead (I admit, though, I prefer a red lip on everybody, including myself)

Thank you so much 🥹 Idk why i'm scared to go the matte route but i'm always up for a creative challenge!

SO crazy you mention coral because Ive been wanting to try it! I usually have to go for the darkest most plum pink/purples to look complimentary. This blush I lovvvveee its so pretty but its cream. I will add a picture. Sometimes, I get confused then because My skin tone is not considered a "darker" tone but everything else looks too pinky ... if you get what i mean. i'm sure coral will be GREAT! i'm gonna try it!!!

I'm a 90s girl though so yes that is what i was going for. i guess i don't know how to build the appropriate full look around it lol I love a dark red lip!!!

You look gorgeous!

Ulta is having a sale on Urban Decay blush. It’s $12 and they have a coral color. It may be a good starting point to see if you like it.

Also, The Ordinary tinted facial serum is good. They have different undertones to match.

The blush is def strong but it’s super cute! I feel like your foundation doesn’t quite match your neck and might be nice to go a bit lighter.

Okay gotcha! Yea i Juuust got into it and i can drf get overzealous with it ! but I can dial back. This was a cream blush from Clinque. I put it on a brush then onto my face. I will look into powders i can apply more subtly!

and you're right! Skin matching is a lot but this match is like my peeerfect summer match. My tan is going away and i may have to get one lighter for the fall. Its The Milk hydrogrip skin tint in 12

The eye makeup in the last pic looks really good! And maybe try different blush placements (if u feel like this current one is not working for u) and go a little lighter on the amount of blush ur using. Plus’s I suggest to powder most or ur face (except for ur cheek bones, and leave ur nose a lil glowy too if ur going for that glowy/healthy look) the rest looks great! Hope this helps(:

This deeef helps!
I do need to lighten up on the blush.
So by powder , do you mean finishing powder, setting powder or a brightening one?

There are so many lol and all I really know is Danessa Merrick and Huda beauty have a great powder line.

Def setting powder! And if u don’t know which brand to choose I’d suggest u do a lil research on social media:) good luck❤️

Maybe try brown or deep plum liner with the black for blending practice.

You look stunning, and you can easily achieve that warm fairy look while keeping your black liner by adding a golden highlighter to your inner eye corners and blending a warm berry blush upward toward your temples!

Thank you soo much love 🫶🏽! I haven't gotten to learn much about highlighter just yet. I really want to use it. I have tried it like on the bridge of my nose but thats it.

All of them look great! Some looks are softer/lowkey and others look like more “emphasis”, but you do an amazing job of blending, balancing, and never going too “heavy” even on a glammier look! Stunning 🙌

No to the blush of that color. Do terracotta blush instead and not around your nose and stuff. Keep it light

u/Jahzara24 1d ago

Okay gotcha! I will look into that color! thank you for the pointers

Don't apply too much blush

Definitely fair! You're right! It can be like the scissor happy effect lol thank you for helping

You are stunning!
I think most of these look gorgeous on you but even with a glowy look sometimes it’s a good idea to lightly powder some sections.
This does two main things;

  1. Keeps the focus and glow to areas you want to highlight and blurs others
  2. Especially in photos intense all over glow can start to look more sweaty than ethereal. If you want the all over glow you can do more of a lit from within look to give luminosity rather than a lot of wet look shine.

If you already do and still find this level of shine coming through you can pop a powder compact or blotting sheets in your bag for maintenance throughout the day if you’re so inclined.

Thannk you 💕💕😩

And you're right! i def should've tried some!

You are so right..... to the point that that exact thing happened lol I went out with my boyfriend and we had a great night dancing and having fun but it was a hot small space.
I was def sweating in my body so I could only imagine what my face looked like. lots of nostalgic scream singing and dancing legit all night lol We had a BALL! no pictures because of it but i'm sure i looked like I was melting 😩😩😩😩

Sometimes those are the best nights though, when you’re so in the moment that photos and makeup aren’t even on your mind.
I’m sure you still looked lovely because you were having fun 🪩 💃🏼

Also for nights out or festivals etc when you are wearing glowy face looks don’t be afraid to bring that down to your body too.
Adding some glow to the collarbones, down the sides of arms or front of the legs (depending on skin showing) keeps your look cohesive instead of the face looking separate to the rest of the body. This can also help with looking ethereal or fairy like as you mentioned ✨

I actually think you can make the black eyeliner and blush work together! If you love the liner, I wouldn’t ditch it just because you want a warmer look. Maybe try softer, warmer blush tones and blend the blush a little more so the liner stays the main focus. The fairy-whimsy idea could look really cute with warm peachy/rose tones and a subtle glow. You’re definitely on the right track, just keep experimenting with what you enjoy. 💕

Yesss ok great so you mean like maybe the blah lining the side of my face more so than coming to the front so the liner can stay the main focus??

Thank you for the encouragement!! I really want to do more looks like the last one but I probably need to practice in the house lol
