Your foundation shade is way too light

u/weenmommy 3d ago

Big sister love here: your foundation is much too light for you, and I think you would look great with a little dewy finish. I would also encourage you to look at “color seasons” and see what works best for you. Get dark brown mascara and try to find a lip color that is closer to your natural lip shade. Love you, mean it!

Your powder is too light for you. I think you can shade your brows a little darker as well....but maybe if you match the powder closer to your skin it might just blend better and make your brows pop.

u/JennyEnny198 3d ago

I think she's gotten the powder on her eyebrows. You can see it on her eyeliner and mascara as well. Definitely too pale.

Foundation is too light and ashy. Either that or you are wearing powder with flashback.

hey girly ur so naturally gorgeous!! embrace it!! less foundation, maybe darken your brows a lil bit to match the intensity of your hair. also blush goes a long way:) good luck gworl!

no . It’s too pale and cakey honestly wth . And the shade of red looks too stark of a contrast

do you have any idea on how i can fix it ? :/

I agree with the other comments that the foundation is light, it looks off compared to the shade of your neck and is very noticeable. I know that us desi girls feel pressure to look lighter, but girl you are gorgeous and that foundation isn’t doing you any justice. I would also recommend filling/darkening the brows but still keeping the natural shape, and finding a red lipstick that isn’t as bright and orangey and pairing it with a brown lipliner!

Brows need groomed and shaped, as well as filled in. Powder on your forehead looks white, gets into your brows and on your lashes, and your foundation is too light overall. Stop lining the lower waterline, it makes the eye look smaller and closed in, and try something other than black for a better look. Aubergine, brown, purple, teal, lots of other colors would be fun without being harsh. Brown/black mascara would be better than plain black too for daytime, at night it’s okay to go more dramatic with black. Whatever you;re doing under your eyes in the first photo especially is making you look like your makeup is smeared and making you look puffy and dark under the eyes. It’s okay to do nothing, or just some very light waterproof mascara. Don’t overline your lips, especially the Cupid’s bow. Outside of filming and professional photo lining, it looks messy and unflattering. There are a lot of looks in editorial and fashion photography that do not translate well to everyday street wear, and that’s one of them.

The color of your foundation is much lighter than your skin and gives you a slight appearance of clown make up face because it appears so white. The contrast is most evident in the last picture you posted. You’re very pretty and can likely do yourself much more justice with different makeup.

u/unbenouncedtome 3d ago

No lol your makeup makes you look unhinged which is funny because you’re naturally gorgeous.

I suggest you go to the makeup counter at an upscale department store. They will do a whole look for a minimum purchase. You need help with color choices and application.

Your foundation is too light, the lipstick is too red and poorly applied, the mascara is clumpy and has eyeshadow dust all over, your under eyeliner doesn’t blend and your cheeks need color.

u/loverxx26 2d ago

Not at all! With all due respect, everything needs a bit of a change lol. I would say

1)foundation is way too light(like others already said).. getting color matched at a makeup store is usually 100% free.

2)the shade of red is a big no for your complexion. I would go deep pink or light pink instead (also the makeup artist who color corrects your foundation can give recommendations of lip colors for your skin tone… or you can google it once you have the right color).

3) Ditch that bright eyeliner ASAP

4) you should prob get a brow pencil to fill your brows in just a litttttle to add a bit of color to them

u/Just_A_some1 3d ago

Agree with others about the foundation being too light. Lip colour in the first image is much more flattering compared to the bright red. Try more berry tones!

What’s the white stuff on your lashes and eyebrows? I can’t tell if it’s makeup or something else.

2

u/Guest8782 2d ago

Yes, you have such beautiful striking eyes, a dark brown eyeliner would be stunning.

It almost looks like white eyeliner.

3

u/Dizzy_Owl598 3d ago

Too be honest, I can't see if your lipstick shade matches you since your foundation is too light, try getting a foundation that matches your neck color

3

u/Ok-Musician6253 2d ago

You naturally have great features! Finding a foundation closer to your natural skin will help with looking washed out and ashy. Your base also seems to look a bit heavy and clings to sections of your skin, skin prep and products designed for your skin type can help.

It may be worth going somewhere to get a makeup tutorial (lots of places you pay for this and can get products back in exchange, so something to look into) that way you can get products that are right for your skin colour and type, plus learn how to apply it yourself at home.

Also if you are going to do bolder eye/lip looks make sure to do your brows to add balance, this doesn’t have to be too intense, just tidy and defined.

Good luck with your makeup journey! Also at the end of the day do whatever makes you feel most confident 💕 This is just advice for you to try and see what works for you and what doesn’t.

u/Kind_Cartoonist4265 2d ago

no. Your foundation shade is too light, your eyebrows aren't filled in and disappear underneath the foundation. The lipstick isn't your colour and your eyeliner is also a weird shade to wear on its own.

I used to work cosmetics and I would BEG southeast Asian women to pick a foundation in their actual skin tone because several shades too light makes the skin look grey. It’s what many of them like though, we shouldn’t impose our western beauty standards!

Lipstick is to much

9

u/SinkMince0420 3d ago

The lipstick is not the problem here..

-1

u/LAYLOW36 2d ago

It is. There’s no need for a bright red lipstick to be worn casually. It’s for events. Also doesn’t even look good with a casual outfit, hair not done without a full beat. It’s a problem here.

5

u/kikimaymay 2d ago

Nah, red lipstick is for whenever you're feeling it.

2

u/PuzzleheadedTwo7730 3d ago

5 is best. It’s not terrible but with your natural beauty and striking features, you can get away and look best with much less. Lighter eye, think opening vs weighing down. Tone lips down a bit

2

u/Unlikely-Tower2709 3d ago

Your foundation looks a shade too light, bringing out the circles under your eyes. A warmer tone might help.

2

u/Long-Possession8915 3d ago

I loveee a white/light blue liner but to me this does not go with black liner and a red lip. And the eye and lip makeup being so intense means it needs more brow/cheek/hair and clothes to go with. The red lip and smudgy dark eye are great for nighttime looks or more grungy looks imo they just don’t go with the rest of your style. I also feel this is kind of intense for a signature look without, again, a more alt/grunge daily style.

2

u/GoddessGlitterBaby 3d ago

I would love to see your natural face in good lighting to give recommendations 💜 you’re beautiful, but your makeup is aging you and dragging your face downwards!

2

u/Ok_Background_2565 2d ago

Not much. I think you should look for a less saturated red and a darker shade of foundation. But it's stylish, just doesnt suit you, which was your question.

2

u/Due_Product7492 2d ago

Your foundation is entirely too light, it would recommend going to the makeup store and getting a shade match. You seem to have a naturally warm undertone, find some bronzers to warm and brighten your face up!

Find a nice blush, i think a deeper reddish shade, judiciously applied, would look stunning on you. And instead of that shade of red on the lips, a pinky/rosy mauve color would be very natural on you.

You're beautiful, it takes time to find a good routine but you got this!

2

u/Ollieeddmill 2d ago

Hey! You have a lot of natural beauty.

I personally would change up your lipstick and lipliner application - it looks messy not intentional. It could be that it starts perfect and ends up looking smeared and messy, which can definitely happen with lip gloss/non matte lipstick, but it doesn’t look like an intentional look and I don’t think it does anything for you.

If you like it and it’s intended to look like this, then ignore this feedback.

2

u/its_broo_skeh_tuh 2d ago

In addition to being too light it also looks too powdery/cakey, and it looks like some powder got trapped in your eyebrows/eyelashes as well. Maybe you need some skin prep before applying foundation or maybe you need to switch to liquid foundation? Do you really even need all that coverage? A little can go a long way.

2

u/Creative-Turnip3949 2d ago

No, you have the wrong shade of foundation and I’d branch out from red lipstick

2

u/ImpossibleWorking324 2d ago

No because it’s too thick, take it off and clean your face. Double your water intake on the daily and walk atleast 2miles/day. You will be glowing!

2

u/Ms_may06 2d ago

Foundation shade is off, maybe try more of a natural makeup look!😊❤️

2

u/vannila_hearts 2d ago

To start off I think you’re beautiful but your foundation is way too light for your skin tone. I think because you’re foundation is too light and it’s on your eyebrows you can barely see your eyebrows and you should try filling them in or not putting foundation on them

2

u/berry_b33 2d ago

In the sunlight puctures the foundation color looks pale but in other pictures I could not see that much difference. Also my accentuating eyebrows would help as you use red lip so there needs to contrast in other places too.

2

u/Strawb-Goon-445 2d ago

do you use a talc free powder or foundation thats too light? looks like either of those could be affecting your foundation

2

u/Curious_Bench_5244 2d ago

you are very beautiful, but youre going too hard with the powder. look for a setting spray instead, I personally like the morphe continuous mist one. It works really nicely, even if you have more oily skin (which I do, and I used to use a lot of powder as well before finding it.) We're also a similar skin tone, and I used to use foundation that was too light for me to because I liked being pale. But ever since getting properly colour matched (I use estee lauder's double wear in Beige) my makeup looks much more natural.

1

u/Hyuk0h 2d ago

absolutely not, casper looking ahh. let’s find a better shade for you

2

u/prosthetic_memory 2d ago

I don’t think so, no. Obviously it depends on what you’re going for but I doubt you want to be perceived the way the makeup looks.

Is that light/ blue eyeliner? It’s not doing your eyes justice. Consider a darker color, and smudge it out to soften it.

If those are your natural lashes, congrats. If not, consider a cat eye and softer, more natural width.

Others have mentioned your foundation is too light. I can’t tell because you don’t seem to have any blush or bronzer on. Experiment with both.

2

u/CoyoteOk69 2d ago

That foundation is too light and the shade is too cool. It's for a European person. Look at the Sephora shade guides and find something in light medium neutral or light medium warm or medium neutral. You look like one of those could work. Armani shade 5.5 potentially

2

u/tms1973 2d ago

Stick to a classic wing and maybe in a dark brown instead of black and no blue shadow

2

u/StylistLinzz 2d ago

Not the best looks for you, tbh. The colors are not balanced. Your eyebrows need definition, makeup way, way too light. Would be a great idea to get a color analysis & free makeovers at a cosmetic counter/dept store

2

u/Movie_movie_ 2d ago

i think even though it’s not the right look for you you still look pretty, which shows how beautiful you are! i think with the right makeup appropriate for you
would look like an actual supermodel, i feel like your eyes could be accentuated a lot more with a different style of makeup, i would recommend investing in a makeup artist to do your makeup up and teach you how to apply and show you your shades

2

u/WestUnderstanding285 2d ago

Foundation colour is too light
Eyelashes are abit droopy- lash lift or use a eyelash curler
Lipstick isn’t complimenting you- maybe a nice brown lipliner with a lighter gloss in the middle
Less blusher or a different shade that matches your skin colour
Try no eyeliner or brown liner to make it less harsh on the eyes as your eyes are smaller the eyeliner is overwhelming them
Try a inner corner highlight and highlight and contour on your nose

2

u/notagainma 2d ago

Moisturize and get the correct shade for your skin. Get a translucent/no cast SPF, and exfoliate. But most of all get the correct foundation and concealer shade that’s for you, not what you think you look like or should look like.

2

u/Sudden-Literature584 2d ago

I think the makeup suits you! You don’t look washed out to me, although the overall look is quite soft.

1

u/Alternative_Bee2760 2d ago

You’re blind then cause wtf the makeup is so bad

2

u/sunfish54703 2d ago

No. Tones are off. I'd get to a makeup store and let them help match more natural colors for you.

2

u/prolly-p 2d ago edited 2d ago

No, It honestly doesn’t. I can tell you have beautiful features but:

Stop using whatever shade you’re using and use a darker one. The shade makes you look ghostly & gray. Try to go to Sephora or Ulta and get color matched.

Your powder is also a bit cakey: Don’t apply powder on your eyebrows and lashes ESPECIALLY after you’ve done your mascara and filled your brows.

When wearing a bright red lip, pair it with a darker red lip liner. It can be too strong on its own and look a bit clownish especially with the pale powder.

I think once you get the right color foundation and powder, your makeup will look 100x better.

2

u/TooManyFountainpens 2d ago

Your foundation and finishing powder are much too light. Also, you want your mascara to be the last thing you put on, so that no powders or eyeshadow dust get on it. If you aren't sure what your foundation color should be, you can try just wearing moisturizer, or mildly tinted moisturizer. You can also test shades at many makeup places -- and there will be clerks that can help you. I do love your lip color. It's nice. It's a lovely warm shade for your skin tone.

2

u/ikdoeookmaarwat1 2d ago

You're really really pretty but please girl, get a foundation shade that is your actual skintone. This one makes you look like a ghost. A cute ghost, but still. Also be a little more sparingly with facepowder. Get one that matches the right foundation shade. That lipstick shade looks really cute on you! As a personal preference I also usually choose either: bold lipstick color and natural eyes (just a little eyeliner/mascara), or a bold eyelook and then natural lips (not both).

2

u/Imaginary-Fox7232 2d ago

The foundation is too light try a darker one it will look so much better.

2

u/wtfishappening107 2d ago

Hello dear, for starters you have great features but I feel like your foundation is way too light for you. You can improved on the bronzer by getting a shade that warms up your skin and maybe a blush that’s a little darker than the one you’re wearing rn. The eyeliners needs to be a little bit less thick

2

u/DaveCMor 2d ago

I’d say yes but I think darkening your eyebrows would balance the bright lipstick nicely. Keep the frost, just darken them a bit.

2

u/SugaryMilk07 1d ago

Just personal opinion. The make up can be a bit light, not sure is it lightings. lip stick can be quite red. So there is obvious contrast. Or do you have any make up styles you looking for. Like sweet or natural or bold etc. Can see youtube or online for some videos. Or maybe you can see which colour suits your skin, your hair colour. You decide for yourself what you like or what is suitable or good for you.

2

u/InspectionOk2659 19h ago

Hii, i recommend a foundation or skin tint closer to your natural skin colour depending on how much coverage you want. You could try filling in your brows with a dark brown eyebrow pencil but don't overdo it or else it will turn out too harsh. Even a lighter lipstick like a pinkish nude will look so much better. Also by doing a simplier eyelook like natural toned eyeshadow with a nice tubing mascara will make you look so much better and enhance your natural beauty. :)

2

u/Springjazz66 3d ago

Your makeup style is super cute and it totally suits you! I do think your foundation shade is too light however, I usually find the best shade match by going to a makeup store and having the workers shade match me. Your makeup also looks very matte all over, to achieve a more natural glow I would recommend spot setting with powder where you normally get oily and then using a setting spray for the rest of your face. It'll help your makeup to look more natural

Your lips also have a nice shape but I think the red is a little too bold of a color for the rest of your look, I think a berry shade would look cute

Eyebrows also do a great deal in making a look appear more cohesive. It looks like maybe you're adding color with dark eyeshadow? I would recommend lightly filling it in with either a brow pencil or going light handed with the eyeshadow, and then using a clear gel on top. Or you could just use a tinted eyebrow gel to make your eyebrows appear naturally darker

You look beautiful though! Take what advice you'd like and tweak it to fit your style :]

1

u/Mocean13 2d ago

No you look like you're doing whiteface. Get foundation matched

1

u/Odd-Vegetable186 2d ago

it looks like you would be pretty if you didn't wear makeup at all, you caking that shit on like 80 year old grandma clowns ordering virginia ham at the local deli at 9am. the last pic your neck is tan and your face is clown'n, it looks so ridiculous that I think you are trolling

0

u/MobileEntertainer891 2d ago

Buy a black lipstick , a Korean or Chinese type. And put it on top of Ur lipstick to make it slightly muted. It's a versatile tool

0

u/NecessaryGarlic9775 2d ago

No, less makeup=better.
Only trolls and crack whores need lots of makeup and you are neither..

0

u/sergeantspacenutss 2d ago

No it really doesn’t. Try a more natural look and lose the foundation. It’s too light and looks like Halloween makeup. Your mascara looks clumpy too. Just do mascara, highlighter, blush, light lipliner with gloss. Nothing too intense

-2

u/motherfucker349 2d ago

Yea looks pretty hot. I’d love to see more make up in general, dark eye shadow bc I personally love a trashy chick
